I'm going to be contrarian and go with the Boss
Definitely... I'd even start with Greetings and go through Tunnel, if needed...

billy strings, that was easy
Any chance I could have billy strings playing Grateful Dead’s songs with Sturgill as a guest?

I've always wanted to drive across the state of Texas, listening to nothing but ZZ Top (I'm not a huge fan, but I think it would be cool).
Throw in some Johnny Winter (Beaumont), Fabulous Thunderbirds (formed in Austin), and SRV (Dallas) to add some variety. 880 miles of Texas blues rock bliss.

Yes! And would probably hit repeat for Born to Run and Darkness. Would require taking a 2 hour detour but worth it

Widespread Panic. The amount of covers, songs makes the trip.
Robert Earl keen would be my second choice.

REM
Chronic Town through Green, including Dead Letter Office should be right at 5 hours
none of their later Warner Bros releases though

Recently, I listened to Tom Petty one way for around 5 hours one way and R.E.M. for the return trip. Both were solid decisions.

Done this a few times with the following:
Porcupine Tree
Steven Wilson
The Ocean
Trivium
In Flames
Radiohead (pretty much everything from pablo to in rainbows since everything after is way too mellow for a long drive)
I'm sure there are a few others.
