First off, I have no issue with any of the ones who got in. They are all completely deserving.

But how Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, & Motorhead are NOT in the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME is just criminal.

They got the Doobie Brothers and T. Rex right. I'm whatever on Depeche Mode and NIN. I really wouldn't defend the selections but they have let in a lot worse acts. Speaking of which, Whitney Houston and Notorious Big belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame about as much as Plaxico Buress belongs in the Gun Safety Hall of Fame.

Judas Priest and Soundgarden run away with the fan vote and neither gets in. Makes sense.

At this point I'm done being dumbfounded by this every year. I'm just gonna start embracing it as comedy.

I know mind boggling. Below are all of the other acts on the ballot that were snubbed to make room for Notorious Big. What a joke! Any one of these are more deserving.

Kraftwerk
Dave Matthews Band
Motörhead
Soundgarden
Judas Priest
MC5
Rufus featuring Chaka Khan
Todd Rundgren
Thin Lizzy
Pat Benatar

I dont know why they cant just separate hip hop from rock and roll. As a fan of hip hop(I know it's frowned upon on this board) it doesn't feel right that hip hop acts get into a hall of fame of a completely different genre. And Rock fans don't like either and rightfully so. I dont see Magic Johnson in the NFL hall of fame. It makes no sense.

Should be in if only because of their influence.

Kraftwerk is one of NIN's big influences. This is like Nirvana getting in over The Pixies or The Melvins. Mainstream popularity has a lot to do with it.
