Loki sucks in the Marvel movies and the only good villain in the recent Marvel movies has been Baron Zemo.

This doesn't really count as an opinion, but I don't think I've seen single movie that Meryl Streep has been in.
ETA: Nevermind, I've seen Death Becomes Her.
I don't know what some people would consider worse, not seeing any, or only seeing that one.

Pretty strong parallels actually.
Both opening movies were unique and great and are pretty universally loved albiet with some flaws here and there.
Both second movies were absolutely amazing top tier cinematic masterpieces with exceptional villains that will be watched and loved and talked about for a very long time.
Both third movies sucked dick for a multitude of reasons, but the absolute awesomeness of the first two carries the entire trilogy without a problem.
All that said Original Star Wars is head and shoulders above the Dark Knight trilogy and it's isn't even close. E
