Has a show ever received more goodwill from one great episode than The Bear?

that scene in the finale with Richie, Carmy and Syd yelling at it each was cringe. Carmy is a bitch and never finishes a thought.

Agreed. But to be fair, who tf could complete a thought with Sydney whine-screaming and interrupting the entire time? Ugh. Disappointing episode/season.

You people are crazy. I get that most of you blame females for everything, but WTF...Carmy is the worst and most whiniest character in the show by far....he's a little bitch who fricks up every possible situation good/bad he is faced with. He is what has made this show harder and harder to watch each season.

I had to laugh- she said she was having a low blood sugar episode and needed food, so he trussed and roasted a chicken. Then I thought more about it and realized that was exactly the point- making amends.
This season definitely had its share of filler episodes, but, like Season 3, the good ones were GREAT. The finale was a real disappointment m, though.

This is true stuff. Syd needed an explanation why the guy was bailing and he couldn't offer one up. Best he got was "You're The Bear, Sydney." Like a knock-off TWD scene, M Night twist.
All of that from someone who really enjoyed most of this show.

Reading through the comments. I enjoyed this season. Had some rough patches, to be sure. The wedding is one of the best episodes of the series.
It is basically the counterpoint to "Fishes"
Instead of an old matriarch ripping everyone apart. . .a little girl brings everyone together.
Also, Francie Fakk and Sugar hooked up? Show, don't tell, please.
Season finale was fricking stupid, though. I actually love Syd's character, but there is no show without Carmy.

I think it ends up with Carmy running the original beef shop and the other guys from the beef work on the expansion shops.

Have watched some of season4. My wife likes it more than I do. It’s just mildly entertaining to me. I just like to watch a couple of the characters now…

Sucks because I really liked the first two seasons. However season 3 and what I’ve seen of season 4 is an absolute chore to watch.

Season 2 Syd kinda sucked, every other season she is one of my favorite characters

Season 4 Episode 4 Worms. What the hell was the point in that episode? That's 30 minutes of my life that I'd love to have back.
