Outside of the one scene in the kitchen with Gambit that you pointed out, the first two episodes were pretty good. I called out that scene in the other thread but after watching both episodes, it’s clear that still image wasn’t the point.

This is going to be interesting I think with this series. I have fond memories of the original, and while this maybe isn't a direct sequel it's in the spirit of the original and based on that 90s version.
The thing that I've been hypersensitive to when watching is attempts to modernize it with current day slang or other modern cultural things. I've only really noticed one minor thing that is debatable. So I hope it continues to be in the spirit of the 90s.
The animation does take some getting used to. It's really good, but it's almost unsettling at first.
