i mean he also wrote Days of Future Past and the first RDJ Sherlock Holmes. it can't be any worse than Apocalypse and Marvel has no interest in having the rights to X-Men.

He supposedly came in to clean up the last Fantastic Four movie. I think he wrote it as well.

Wow, I'm shocked everyone's coming back. I thought Lawrence was done with this.

Money talks. Lawrence's career isn't doing so well right now. She needs a hit.

Why wouldn't they want the movie rights? Universe is already too big?

X2 was a really good movie. X3 was the godfather compared to apocalypse.

yeah i think the universe is too big and the x-men universe comes with all sorts of social commentary that Marvel isn't interested in touching in the MCU. look how carefully they've separated the Netflix universe and the MCU. a daredevil reference in spider-man would be perfect but it won't happen.

Simon Kinberg is a hack of the highest order (as a writer).

Goddamn that is a terrible choice.

We've done this already. Just go New X-Men or Uncanny X-Men and reboot.

Oh they want them alright. They just don't want to have to pay premium money for the rights now. No, they are hoping the X-men keep under performing and they get a Spiderman deal to take over the series.

They'd probably let the franchise cool off, maybe have a mutant pop up here or there, and then... once the current wave of Marvel stars retire... unleash the X-men as their next big wave of movies.

X-Men isn't under performing. Keep in mind the X-Men IP includes the Wolverine solo movies, Deadpool, Legion, upcoming New Mutants movie, and a ton of other titles that haven't been touched yet like X-Force. Fox would be stupid to get rid of it.

so the guy who fricked up the Phoenix storyline the first time around is now running the new Phoenix storyline? Makes sense.

Plus, that Game of Thrones chick is an awful actress. They're gonna put the whole Dark Phoenix storyline on her shoulders? This shite might make X-Men: Apocalypse look like Apocalypse Now.
