How can I be triggered if this has been a fact for years now? I simply answered the OP. For some reason you decided not to provide any worthwhile response. Scared of having an opinion?

how many black people were in Oppenheimer?

Only racial minority I can think of is Remi. But if you follow the discussion going on, women count towards the quotas. And I question whether is wife and mistress would play such a large role if this was made 30 years ago.

Would Oppenheimer even be greenlit today
Nolan has proven himself to be an overwhelming creative and commercial success. He and some of the other old guard can get anything they want greenlit because they have preexisting immunity.
But you have to wonder about the future.

I mean there’s a new show on Apple+ right now called Masters of the Air made by the same people that did Band of Brothers and The Pacific.

I’m aware. I’ve watched a few episodes. It’s not even close to the standard of BoB or The Pacific.

I don’t think anybody would say it’s up to par with BoB. Very few, if any, mini series ever have been. But that’s not the question right? You’re asking for f other shows “like” BoB would be green lit today. I’m just stating that there is currently a show out, made by the same people who did BoB, following the same model but with a different division of the military. It’s pretty clear that shows like that are still being put out.

No it wouldn't because the writers/directors/producers/actors wouldn't fit into the Hollywood DEI/ESG mandates.
Didn't Oppenheimer just win 7 Oscars?
Pretty much every major character was a white male

The money in Hollywood loves anything WWII. Band of Brothers 100% gets greenlit.
If you are an aspiring screenwriter, write something about WWII. Your chances of selling the script increase exponentially.

Yes, but Jim Lovell would be a biracial homosexual and the head of Mission Control would be a black tranny.

Whether it’s good or not has nothing to do with the topic and you one hundred percent know that.

DEI sucks, but goddamn some of you have lost your mind.
Posted on 3/24/24 at 7:00 pm to Jcorye1
Are you saying these films would be made in the exact same way with the exact same people?

Abhorrently grotesque illiberal unamerican and repulsive to anyone with an ounce of integrity.

Meh, expecting everything to be shitty and result of bigoted approaches is a feature of DEI.

I mean, if gravity existed, which is up for debate.
How bored do you guys get?
Seriously, just look at the names and post histories of the posters that needed to chime in here.

I honestly expected some of this but thought I could get some real discussion if I persisted.
