I really don’t even consider it so much an actual sports movie as I do a family feel-good drama that has a sports backdrop. I mean is there even a training montage or a championship game with a last second comeback? Seriously, I can’t remember if there was turning-point game scene in the movie, was there?

ETA and I know the same of what I posted can be said about a lot of sports movies, but The Blind Side just seemed to be more about the story of a guy who happened to play football than about the sport itself. But then again I guess if he hadn’t played football then there wouldn’t be a story to tell about him anyone would care to see. Let me stop, this is getting into “Is Die Hard a Christmas movie?” territory

It’s nothing but the beach volleyball scene from Top Gun without the awesome “Playing With The Boys” soundtrack and C Thomas Howell and the actor from ThirtySomerhing instead of Maverick & Goose.

i thought it was a well done movie

now i didnt read the book so i cant speak to accuracy of the movie but it wouldnt even make my list of "worst" sports movies

it was a "sports related" life story, it wasnt supposed to be a "sports movie" so maybe thats why you didnt like it, your expectations were wrong going in.

Speed 2: Cruise Control

It was the sequel to the very popular first installment which starred Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullocks. Second one had Bullocks in it. Keanu was smart enough to turn it down

I didn’t enjoy the movie. They over did everything and it just wasn’t reality. Even the star was pissed at the way he was portrayed.

Exactly how I am.

Blind Side gets worse every time I watch it. Same with Remember the Titans.

I enjoyed it the first time I watched it but I’ve come to conclusion that it’s a Hallmark Channel level production. Bullock didn’t deserve an Oscar for it.
