There's also a sizeable number of shills review-bombing it with 10/10 reviews.
9/10s and 10/10s might be outnumbered by 0/10s and 1/10s at a rate of 5:1, but it's still about 5,000 compared to 25,000.

I mean, one is a crappy coke-fueled non-canon one-off variety show event from the 70’s and the other is a tv series that purports to take itself seriously as an extension of the Star Wars universe with a defined place in the overall canon.
One is a bad piece of disposable pop culture of its day. The other is, well, the exact same thing, only on purpose while pretending that it’s high art.

How is the Holiday Special canon? The fact that it’s NOT canon is a huge part of why it’s NOT as insulting.

I thought LucasFilm said it’s explicitly NOT canon. Where did LucasFilm say it’s canon? Are “Battle for Endor” and “Caravan of Courage” canon?

Star Wars Theory has his video about fans reacting about The Acolyte manually reviewed and demonetized. He didn’t say anything hateful or untrue in his video. Just that there is a sizable number of fans that are finally coming together and saying the show and direction of Star Wars isn’t good.

I’d rather be tied down and forced to watch the Holiday Special like this…
… on a loop for 24 hours than watch five more minutes of the steaming pile of runny dog shite titled The Acolyte.
And just know, eight year old me watched the Christmas Special when it aired in 1978.
