Well maybe I've upgraded from not getting my hopes up to cautiously optimistic.

So sounds like best case is a Fall 2020 premiere date. If not Spring 2021.

I hope I'm wrong but I really don't see this translating well to live action. Young actors don't stay young. But it's a great story and I'll definitely watch.

I don't see how this would be a problem for WOT when it wasn't for GOT.

In fact the GOT characters are significantly younger than Wheel characters are in the books.

Rand and company are in their early 20s by the end of the books.

Jack Whyte's Camulod Chronicles

Another great suggestion. I really liked the way the only real magical element in the series was Merlin's prophetic dreams but he never really benefited from them.

Unfortunately, that's 100% true and why I won't ever get my hopes up. But a guy can dream though It would be an awesome TV adaptation

Dune.

Once the cast starts asking for too much money, you move to the next book.

Hasn’t the Foundation series been picked up by Apple?

I really wish they would do a Robot series first - it all fits together so nicely.

And why no one has ever done the Elijah Bailey books I have zero idea - they would be fantastic on screen.

Titus Crow or Necroscope minus the stuff after Nathan and Nestor.

Or Conan as a series.

ERB's John Carter series

Burroughs' John Carter and Pellucidar series have a lot in common with Game of Thrones. The outsider bringing together warring kingdoms to face a common foe was ERB's bread and butter. (Just ask James Cameron.)

And his universes overlapped (with Tarzan visiting Pellucidar and Jason Gridley trying to contact Pellucidar and ending up on Mars). One successful series could lead to another.

I'll add Jack Kirby's Kamandi to the list.

Think Planet of the Apes with sentient species and kingdoms of every kind.

I always thought the Ender Series would be better as TV show...

Maybe they could do a combo with the Bean (shadow books)

You could easily get 4-6 seasons from that.

Amazon is making a Wheel of Time series.

A story and writing that is so crappy anybody could have picked it up and finished writing it.

I'd watch the show bc I love the genre but those are probably the most overrated books of all time.

If done right it could go for 10 seasons.

5 seasons in to Game of Thrones it was getting blasted. I cant imagine how terrible this would be if it tried to go 10 seasons.

The Talisman
The Stand
The Dark Tower

They should just name a new series: King. And every season is an adaptation of a different Steven King book. Could be incredible if done right.

I also just read The Crimson Queen by Hutson and could not put it down. It would be incredible. Like Got is a small but gaining popularity awesome book they could adapt well.

I want an edgy Scooby Doo series with gore, foul language, copious drug/alcohol abuse, and in which Freddie gets to frick the shite out of Velma.

This guy George R.R. Martin oversaw a science fiction anthology series called Wild Cards. It was kind of like Watchmen and X-Men in that it dealt with mutants with amazing powers caused by an alien virus and how the post Word War II world would handle them. I think he and HBO have a relationship, seems to me they could work something out.

Alternatively, I would love to see a gritty Batman TV series. Not that cheesy abortion known as Gotham. Do something where Batman is fighting street thugs and organized crime and big bad guys are involved in everything.

The Running Man mini-series. 10 episodes. Pull directly from the book so we can erase the Arnold movie from our national psyche. The book was awesome.

I agree.

But

Richard Dawson was the fricking GOAT in the movie.
