i mean..other than the '555' area code nothing breaks the 4th wall to me more than some guy running with an AR or pistol and shooting about 400 rounds without reloading.
cant remember the movie i watched a couple days ago but it was a 2020/2021 movie and this is still the norm.

And one shot instant kills no matter where the person gets hit on their body.

John Wick did a great job of showing actual reloading of firearms.

There only been one movie where the director realized that the actual sound of gunfire is better than stock sound effects:
The quote from Michael Mann when he watched this scene mixed with sound effects, he turned to the sound editor and asked “Why does this sound worse than the audio we recorded on the day we filmed?”

All of Mann's movies are great in sound quality. The heat shootout scene sound is amazing. Open Range also has some great sound with the gunfights.

Why do people think hacking is about typing insanely fast. Why does Hollywood not understand that accounting isn't going rain main and writing shite all over the place.
Once you actually know anything about the subject, you figure out real quick Hollywood doesnt.

Ha. He reloaded.
Come on guys. Stop wasting money on these terrible action movies. Michael Mann needs the work, and his movies are badass.

That and the shooter shows zero recoil but when the bullet hits the target he goes flying off his feet across the room

Went back and watched this movie and probably laughed just as hard as when it came out.

I don't really agree with this, im sure in the last few decades of filmmaking there is someone somewhere that knows what actual "hacking" looks like. But its probably pretty boring to see on screen and involves a bunch of lingo that only that type of person would understand. So they make it (not just hacking, this applies for many fields im sure) easily accessible to the masses and more interesting by having lots of fun buzzwords and complex password riddles and fast typing.

Yeah. Just watch Hackers. It's pretty hilarious what their portrayal of hacking is, but it makes for good entertainment. Nobody would watch a movie with some dude sitting at a computer typing in code.

Typing in code at a terminal is only part of hacking.
There’s a ton of human intel you have to do. Like digging through dumpster for thrown away slips of paper with passwords on them. Or malware designed to harvest passwords if downloaded.

I hate when the guy with the revolver or pistol kills everybody with machine guns lol

That’s not true. It’s just not exciting to watch people do something the conventional way.

It's the worst with revolvers. They got what 6 shots

Clarice Starling reloads her revolver in The Silence of the Lambs.
The Matrix gets around the issue by having Neo and Trinity load up with a dozen or so guns so they don’t have to reload.

I know shite all about guns, but Open Range seemed extremely accurate with the sound and the cascading echo of those high powered rifles.

I at least give old movies a break because most people had never used a computer at that point.
