I see Jews getting poked fun at more often than Christians. Both get a fair amount of it.
Partly because of its more identifiable and understandable by most of the American audience. They could poke fun of Buddhists or Hindu's but it wouldnt hit home for alot of folks.
I dont think Christianity is attacked relentlessly. People are getting too sensitive these days. Get some thicker skin.

Would this apply to people of color and the alphabet people to?

Few if any Hollywood films in the last twenty years or more have managed more anti-Catholic punch than Elizabeth: The Golden Age (2007). “Every Catholic in England is a potential assassin,”
I stopped in that article right here
I’m mean does the author know anything about Elizabeth I or that period in English history? If he thinks a movie from her perspective was treating Catholics as the bad guys because Hollywood hates Catholics, then I would say he does not. Elizabeth I claim to the throne is entirely based on her and her father renouncing Catholicism and starting a new Church of England. And please note in that particular time of history there were plenty of atrocities committed by Catholics and Protestants against each other.
As for the other examples. The Ghostbusters remake that was obviously just a wokefest, wokies hate Catholics/Christians over issues like Abortion and Gay Marriage at best or simply because the Religious Right votes Republican.
As far as the Tarzan example, it the bad guy was a Muslim or black, the “left” would probably complain but what would the “right” say? Probably that it’s just a movie or some such. Everything needs context, but overall Christians/White Men and the Russian Mob became the only acceptable villains thanks to political correctness if that’s the answer you are looking for

Christianity has not done itself any favors on the PR front. Let's review
James and Tammy Faye Baker
Jimmy Swaggert and Airline Hwy hookers
Oral Roberts being held hostage by God
Pedo Priests in the Catholic Church
Homosexual scandals in Catholic Church
Ted Haggard "visiting" male prostitutes
This is just a sampling. But you can go into financial scandals as well. So Hollywood takes its queue to paint them as grifters and hypocrites.... I mean, these scandals happened.

100%. There are times when there is gratuitous bashing of whatever group and others where it make sense. Each project should be judged individually. Sorry if someone is offended that Muslim extremist commit acts of terror in NYC in the Siege but there were these incidents before (93) and after (2001). By the same token if you don’t like Priest pedo jokes too bad, should have thought of that before the Church covered up pedophile abuse by Priests for decades around the world.

Because the left runs most of entertainment and the internet and they despise christians. They despise all religion, but wont say anything about islam or judaism.

Christians won't fight them back. That's kind of the whole religion... Peace, healing, forgiveness, love, and faith.
It also does not help that Hollywood snd entertainment are all Molochians, so by their very nature they hate everything associated with Christianity /Jesue/Creator, etc.
They don't do it Muslims because they will get beheaded...

can you say Christianity has always been so generous?

funny I was just watching Ladybird the other day and thought that film handled the whole Christian/Catholic school thing amazingly fair.
The priest and nun were very kind, wise, and supportive of their students and didn't really come into any amount of criticism
But that doesn't fit any of yall's victimhood complex

Lol...so would you like to compare the "fair" treatment of Christianity in shows vs the shows which are blatantly on the attack?
Another thing I've learned is this: when someone from the left stands up for their ideals, they are simply "standing for what's right"...but in the rare case of the right pointing out the ridiculous hypocrisy of the left, they are "playing the victim". That's pretty neat.

I'm not sure I have ever come across an attack on Christianity as a viewer or filmmaker. Or maybe it was so slight and innocuous I didn't notice. Seems like a bit of alarmist overthinking/anti hollywood nonsense that pops up here daily.

You lunatics have an entire section of world history dedicated to enforcing stereotypes and persecution of anyone who may be different than you... Just be thankful that you get to believe your fiction while simultaneously complaining about drag queens or any movie that acknowledges black or gay people exist, and then cry because you're confused why nobody fricking likes you.
Wow that’s a lot of rabid idiocy in one sentence.
This is my favorite part:

probably because the loudest christian’s act like those stereotypes.
most christian’s are genuinely good people, but the ones in people’s faces are the ones everyone sees.

in general Christians have been reluctant to significantly push back (or at least sustain the push back).
Thats because most of the time the "attacks" on Christianity are comedic in nature and mature adults that are secure in their beliefs can laugh at themselves. And obviously not all Christians think the same.
