She'd be a punchable character in real life, but she's needed in The Simpsons. Her character allows for some story lines that provide good humor that other characters could not explore.

Princess Leia. Her Dad sacrificed all the Jedis and turned over the entire Republic to save her. Her Dad even tracks her down after she was secreted away from kidnappers and blew up her would-be kidnappers/stepparents planet she still tried to kill him.
She even engaged her brother to help kill him causing him to have his hand amputated leaving him permanently scared and disfigured. She persisted in enraging her brother to the extent that her father fought him again and in an effort to show his children all the sacrifices he made for them, turns on his only ally and mentor and ultimately succumbs to his own death.
Leia was not only unremorseful of her fathers death, she celebrated same with a funeral pyre surrounded by cheering teddy bears.
She later marries one of the men she manipulated into murdering her father and ultimately names herself a General of the very government she fought to overthrow when in essence her father was trying to give her the entire Universe out of love.
She was even so blinded by her hatred that her own son who grows up and learns the truth, attempts to accept his birthright and grandfathers legacy. However, this is short-lived out of jealousy when Leia once again enlists the help of her former husband to kill their own son! Not only that, she causes her former husband and brother to die fighting to kill her son.
She was so evil that not even the vacuum of outer space and the laws of physics could kill her as she floated aimlessly into outer space. This should have been the final sign that she was so evil that even death could not wretch her demented soul from her body. Of course until she actually died all in vain laying waste to the vastness of her would-be empire and her family line.
Left in her wake as used pawns are a hairy gorilla type being and two robots.
Pure evil
