It should absolutely be Henry Cavill.

Someone with more charisma and presence than Daniel Craig. Dude’s Bond movies (outside of Casino Royale) have been snoozers.

That's good that you feel that way because the billon-dollar Chinese market means there's zero chance we will see a black James Bond anytime soon.

So you want to bring Alec Trevelyan/006 back from the dead and have him be the new 007?

I watched Kong Skull Island the other day and I honestly had no clue he was a great looking dude

The only movies I'd seen him in are the Thor/Avengers ones where he has that weird looking long hair. Like I could tell he wasn't a bad looking dude, but I sat there and stared at him for a minute in Kong because I thought it was him, but wasn't sure haha.

You should watch The Night Manager. It was basically Hiddleston trying out for Bond.

I like Daniel Craig but I’m ready for a new Bond. His moves have run their course and there’s a really good chance he’s going to phone in the next movie.

The best course of action would be to bring in another 00 and then just shift the franchise to them after killing off 007. Like handing off a mantle and let him take the name of Bond and 007.

That or reboot to a younger Bond but that seems to be covered with Kingsman hitting that market.

Count me wrong but I think Chris Pratt could do well and add another dimension to the series.

I do count you wrong. Pratt as Bond would be terrible.

Someone mentioned to me Ewan McGregor the other day when we were discussing this. What would you guys think of him? I'm not certain how I would feel seeing Obi-Wan and James Bond being the same person.

Edit:

I want to see Benedict Cumberbatch as a main Bond Villain.

Tom Hardy
I think we've grown too accustomed to being able to understand what James Bond says.

Hardy is an actor that gets into the roles he plays. Yes, he plays the mysterious roles that do not require him to say much or not understand him (Lawless, Fury Road, Warrior, TDK).

However, he has also excelled in roles where he's polished and suave, such as Eames in Inception.

Cavill is 34. Hiddleston is 36. Fassbender is 40.

Hiddleston is my choice. He’s got the charisma and screen presence of a Bond. The Night Manager was basically his Bond screen test. There will never be a stand-alone Loki Movie and he’s young enough to play Bond for a decade or more.

I think Henry Cavill would be a fantastic Bond. He’s a surprisingly good actor. Problem is I think he’d instantly be more recognizable as Bond than Superman, especially if the movie is worth a damn. And all DC needs is for its signature character to be more recognized as another IP. So I don’t think they let that happen.

I just watched some “The night manager” clips. I had a hard time seeing TH being able to play a tough guy role, but he actually surprised me in the clips I saw. He could probably pull it off.

Tom Hardy and Henry Cavill are too big of names. Plus, Tom hardy is like 5’8.

I think everyone should be in agreement that Daniel Craig set a new standard for playing Bond. I’m watching ‘The Dark Tower’ now and I just don’t see Idris Elba being able to pull it off.

I know he’s among the favorites but I just don’t see him being gritty and tough. I think Tom Hardy could do it but he’s too big of a name. The Bonds have always typically been an accomplished but under the radar actor. Daniel Craig has 1 more Bond movie left in him. Who is next who can actually fill that role?

idris gets my vote. they have fricked bond up so much with daniel craig that only a black man can save it.

This has to be a joke. DC brought grittiness to the role and revived it. Sorry but the suave Pierce Brosnan thing didn't work for me. Goldeneye was great, but I don't like that type of Bond. Totally not believable that Brosnan could ever be a badass. Now, Craig, I could believe is former SAS or some type of SF commander.
