He would be great but then we would know he died at the end. Not sure it is worth hiring him for the one movie.

And all DC needs is for its signature character to be more recognized as another IP

Ben Affleck is already a big star. He kind of overshadows Batman. That's the problem with hiring well known actors for well known characters. The audience comes in with a preconceived notion based on the actor. I think the next Bond will likely not be a current big name. Maybe someone we've seen in small parts but not too well known. Of the previous Bonds I think Pierce Brosnan was the most famous at the time he was cast as Bond.

This has to be a joke. DC brought grittiness to the role and revived it. Sorry but the suave Pierce Brosnan thing didn't work for me. Goldeneye was great, but I don't like that type of Bond. Totally not believable that Brosnan could ever be a badass. Now, Craig, I could believe is former SAS or some type of SF commander.

Craig sucked at bond. He had zero screen presence. That forced them to try and turn the role and the themes into Jason bourne-esque films instead of a true bond movie like we saw with Connery. Craig was terrible.

He didn't suck. He was actually more like the book Bond. Brooding alcoholic with no life and killer of spies.

In The Man With the Golden Gun book - Bond refuses knighthood from the British crown...saying he's just a Scottish peasant.

Connery and Moore would take it. I can see Craig not taking it.

Broccoli turned Bond into a Playboy.

But we grew up with the playboy so it's annoying seeing Bond as just Jason Bourne. Craig isn't really that cool as Bond...he's just another action hero.

Would have said Dylan Obrien if he wasn't in American Assassin.

Theo James maybe?

Jason Statham came to mind first, but the more I thought about it, he doesn't have that "suave" quality to him.

Elba not gritty and tough? You’ve got to be kidding. I call your attention to The Wire and his British detective series. Luther.

Tom Hardy is a fine actor, but he’s too “working class” for Bond.

think Henry Cavill would be a fantastic Bond. He’s a surprisingly good actor.

He was great in Man from UNCLE
