This season is dragging.

If you haven’t watched an episode yet, Honestly, you can skip watching them and just read the episode reviews to catch up.

There has been absolutely Nothing worth watching yet.

I have to say as someone that knows exactly where all of this is going and what happens, I have been a bit underwhelmed the last two weeks. I understand a bit of the push back on this season.

That said ... boats and bangkok are coming, so things will ramp up. And that big cameo reveal is in two weeks.

I love Arnold Schwarzeneger's son. Dude cracks me up. There were online comments saying he got the role through nepotism. Which I'm sure is somewhat true. Obviously if he weren't Arnold's son and an average guy, it'd be very difficult, but at the same time he went on Shark Tank for some business idea which I thought was admirable because I'm sure Dad or Dad's friends could've pitched in the money he needed, but he went and found it on his own.

White lotus is certainly playing on the nepotism in his character

people shite on nepo babies all the time. I get it, cause they cut the line. That said, Hollywood seems like a unique enough industry where there is probably some value in growing up inside of it. It is a learned trade but they are well positioned to learn that trade. They grew up on sets, have access to acting coaches and know more people involved the industry to get things done.

It's not just the slowness. I think it's just the characters themselves and their stories aren't as interesting as previous seasons

I think it was Bono, talking about his daughter Eve, who said something like 'nepotism might get you on the stage, but it's up to you whether or not you stay there'. I think he's got a point. Some of these kids might get a break because of who they are, but a lot of them are actually pretty good actors. Eve Hewson is good, Arnold's kid seems pretty good, Jack Quaid, Ben Stiller, Dan Levy, Maya Hawke, and others are talented and successful on their own right at this point. Others, like Will Smith's retard kid, Bruce and Demi's kids, have mostly disappeared or are relegated to low budget stuff no one sees.

I still love it, but I did catch myself playing on my phone some this episode, which usually isn’t the case

Please tell me Jason Isaacs isn’t an a-hole because I really do love him

Really pleasant and engaging. And apparently the best tennis player on the cast. (they played often). All of the actors were cool .. Not sure Mike would cast aholes (though Zahn was supposedly a bit much).

The Snake Farm set was a fun one. The locations department did a great job finding that place which happened to have an intersection with empty storefronts nearby, which became the weed store. The Thai crew dressed in real weed in the shop. Thankfully, no HBO reps were around for that or when Walton was bitten by a snake (non venomous) ... he was not happy. Apparently, it was not his first time. Of course it wasn't.

There was a fantastic fried banana stand next door. I went there too often.

Let' see, we have a brooding, possible hitman played by Walton Goggins, who is trying to make it to bangkok to possibly kill the man who killed his dad.

A rich dad who is now up shits creek as the subject of an FBI investigation who is quickly getting hooked on Benzos. His wife is already addicted to Benzos, and when its finally revealed to her his situation, who knows how she will react? Its gonna be bad. Real bad.

A scummy, dangerous, conman who now has his hackles up because someone recognized him as a different, previous identity that he used to marry, swindle, and murder a rich widow. And he just invited everyone on his boat.

A catty, judgmental trio of cougars, 2 of which have just joined forces against the 3rd because she is a conservative that voted for trump.

Weird, spoiled rich kids, 1 of which is about to stick his dick in the girlfriend of the murderous conman.

A Thai security guard who tries the right way to get the things he wants in life, but is possibly about to be fired due to some sketchy shite involving jewelry thieves and a Russian who is the most popular wellness gurus at the resort.

Rick's gf has really grown on me. She's very sweet, and likable, and I even think that her big teeth are kind of cute now. The tits helped.

If anything, their stories are more interesting than those of past seasons IMO.

Came here to say this. This season is slllooooooowwwwwww. shite, we've been hearing about the woman going to Bangkok (and Goggins needing to go as well) since episode 1. Go to effing Bangkok already. We got the sense for who everyone was early on and nothing has really advanced or changed on that front for a few episodes.

So having a (potentially underage?) son staring lustfully at his older brother's naked, hairy arse is fine. And the older brother talking about how hot his little sister is and seemingly trying to get his little brother to hit it is fine But the mom and son potentially having something going on is too much?

I've started to think they're not all blood relatives. I think it might be a combined family with the older son from dad and the other two from mom.

That's interesting about Zahn. He's a regular in Lexington these days (owns a farm in Georgetown) and have heard he's a decent enough dude can be a mixed bag at times so that tracks.

Also, just wanted to again say appreciate your posts on this show.

Jesus man, if you're having to write all that to defend this shows characters then it's obvious it's an issue for most people. Look at how split it is in the thread itself. These season can really take off but the first 3 episodes are mid

snake farm was funny. Good scene.

The cougars being catty, well, they are being chicks. Hopefully they are setting something up. It's been nice but time to move it along for those three.

Agree about the guy tracking down the lady's husband. Go to friggin Bancock. Do like the sessions with the therapist. Think the second time he started to realize he needed it.

The Benzo clan? All kinds of potential for blowing up and that is what we can't wait to see. We know it's coming.

I'm not really trying to convince anyone to like it, I was just trying to get some clarification on why you and others think that the characters and their storylines are boring, especially when compared to seasons 1 and 2 where the storylines weren't much more exciting, if at all, than season 3.

I mean, this board loves the show 1923, so I don't really put much stock into that aspect.

I feel like everyone says the show is boring the first few episodes and then wind up loving it again when it’s done. Every damn season

I think the pace is the same as the first two seasons. There hasn't been a lot happen that leds to water cooler talk but I think all the characters have an interesting arc with the exception of Belinda who has been boring all three seasons

What is the point of the three cougars? They offer nothing to the show. And I love how they just rag that one girl and they cannot believe she voted for Trump, like the majority of America did.

Also, a bite from a cobra you’re on an IV for 24 hours. I love how she just has a bandaid and comes back for dinner and drinks a few hours later. Lol
