Where does Sons of Anarchy rank all time??

I realize it's still a work in progress (think I read they signed on for at least 2 more seasons), and it's probably not on a tier 1 wire/sopranos level.....but where does it rank? Just started watching it and I really like it. Don't watch very many tv shows, but this has potential. I know, I know.....welcome to 2008.
So where does it rank currently?

50-100, maybe?

Great show for the most part, but it has some really dumb moments. Too inconsistent.

Nowhere close to the top.
In all honesty, even on it's own network it is not the best all-time drama(The Shield) or current drama (Justified). SoA has had it's share of good moments but the writing has been real thin at times (read Season 3 and most of Season 4).
I put it over shows like Dexter, but there a lot of shows better than SoA right now.

I realize viewers don't mean everything, but isn't SOA basically tripling Justified's numbers right now?

Not very high. I'd put season 2 up towards the top of best drama seasons though.

All time? frick, how the hell could you even answer that...
Its a good show, but no where near top tier. If it stuck to more realistic situations, I would rank it a little higher.
I'd rank it as the 3rd best show that has been on FX
The Shield
American Horror Story
Sons of Anarchy

Below average, good concept but horrible acting.

Good entertaining show. Take it for what it is. I enjoy it, but like someone said, alot better drama shows on tv right now. (Boardwalk Empire, Homeland, Walking Dead, etc..)

I don't think it's really a great show, but I love it. The acting is usually either great or terrible, but I love the grittyness of FX. It just has the "cool" factor for me. And yes, I'll admit, watching an episode has lead me to browsing the motorcycle listings on craigslist on more than one occasion.

SoA is testosterone pumping ride, 18-35 demographic falls for that shite all the time. Justified is a better written show, with a smaller cast and mainly rest upon the dynamic between Raylan and Boyd.

I give it a "B"
Good show, will likely get to run its full course (a major accomplishment and allows a real judgement) but has too much fluff around the core story. Likely could've been told in 5 tight seasons if they cut some of the trash instead of the projected 7

Not even close. I don't even think it's in the top 10 in the history of FX. I would rate Justified, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The League, Louie, Archer, Damages, The Shield, Rescue Me, Terriers, and Nip/Tuck ahead of SoA just on FX alone.

Sons of Anarchy is great for what it is...an action-packed series that's a ton of fun to watch.
It's not about acting, writing, or winning awards....it's simply entertainment.

Not these three, IMO. Rescue Me is a lot like SoA as far as both shows preferring the status quo than change for entirely too long. Nip/Tuck was cheesy. The League is my least favorite comedy on FX besides Anger Management, but I'd say it's on par with SoA.
