such a tryhard ?
this show is not the Wheel of Time. Its woke as frick and everything woke, turns to shite
Thank you. I told him this would be a woke travesty when they announced the cast and he pounded his chest and refused to hear it. Robert Jordan does not deserve what they have done to his lifes work. Atleast Tolkien got a semi decent trilogy before the woke mob could destroy it. I am just terribly saddened by what they have done....such a great story to be shite on like this.

Ahhhh brown people!!! Those damn liberals!

I mean it’s hard to take an opinion seriously when it’s followed up with this.
The original trilogy is head and shoulders the best fantasy adaption of all time.

It was clear when they went away from the very specific descriptions of the characters that telling the story as it was written was not the intent of the show.
Now we have a total piece of shite that is nothing like the actual story. Jackass.

The cast isn't the problem.
The abortion of a story is the problem.

Fixed. Otherwise there wouldn't be this need to change only white characters into other races for the show.

The trailer for Ep 7 just came out.
It looks to me, totally different than episodes 1-6.
it was filmed almost a year after the other episodes due to covid and the lighting and quality, to me, look a lot different.
Could be the same once it broadcasts, but it seems to me like they made changes to lighting and production in the year off.

I think so, and if it is, then I think it was done pretty well.

I dont mind the cast either. Rand isnt that good of an actor but I think the lack of character development holds him back more than acting.
They have recast matt for S2 but I thought he has done pretty good. Never read up to why they are recasting him.
I like Moraine and Lan. Not so much Perrin and Edwene. Nynaeve probably being my least favorite.

Well, then there's that
I think at this point its already not really The Wheel of Time. As it goes on its only going to get worse in regards to following the books. You just have to view it separate and think if you think its a good show or not.

I agree that it looks very different. The Moiraine scenes look lit much more like Game of Thrones. Definitely much darker than some of the other shots we've seen. The whole thing looks a bit less bright and shiny and more rich and dark. But that might just be wishful projection.

It is a noticeable difference. At least to me.

Let's just pretend it's a different age. Maybe we're on the 13th age or something by now.

The actor left on his own accord; no one has said why and he has stayed off social media since.

Hated the White Cloak storyline in the books. Hate it just as much in the series.
ETA: They’ve turned Lan into a pussy and I hate it.

Heard they asked him to pull a Christian Bale in the machinist and lose like 100 lbs. Matt was like 90 lbs in book 2. Fain stole the dagger and that shite tried to kill him.

That actor looks like he would have to gain weight in order to lose 100lbs.

Holy frick. Now Moraine is fricking the Amyrlin Seat?!?! I like the Amyrlin Seat better as the queen of England in Dr Who.

Again tell me you haven’t read the books without telling me.
Moiraine and Siaun were pillow friends as Novices and Accepted. That isn’t new.
