I've enjoyed it but there's something "missing" from this show for me so far. I can't quite put my finger on it though.
Something about the way it’s filmed or something to me. The colors or grading. Idk.
It feels “small scale”. Like CW or SyFy.

Team Hodors for lyfe!
Team Hodor = those who didn’t read the books?
I totally know who Hodor is but I sure don’t understand how it’s used here. It’s a totally. Different show. How does Hodor/Trollocs (that spelling drives me nuts...needs a K) make any sense at all?

There is clearly no way to segregate this topic.
They’re just so eager to let everyone know that they read the books much akin to CrossFitters, vegans and people from Texas.
I’m ready to get them all banned from the thread, if it’s possible!
I enjoyed the show. It was slowin episode 1, but that’s kind of expected. I’d have been confused in GOT if I hadn’t read the books. I like the Hefner, but unlike some of you, I don’t see much difference in gev re between this, GOT, and LOTR. I also do t care that some of you use lower case on parts of those. ??
I just want to watch the show as it unfolds. I also like the Wisdom, Moiraine, Rand, and don’t mind the big nose girl. I am not liking Mat at all. He was an a-hole when he didn’t chop wood! Perrin is a bit annoying.
I LOVE Thom the Gleeman. I hope we see a good bit more of him.

I love the trollocs. They’re bad arse. fricking love them. Beast men in genereal I’ve always been something I thought were disgustingly fun.
Otherwise, show has been alright. Way too much pouting. I ducking hate peoples complaining and bitching in movies.
Some beatman love:
I also just finished painting some sci fi beatmen a couple of days ago in miniature painting I’m quite happy with.

Finished 3rd episode yesterday and I guess I will stick around until this series is finished.

Yeah it’s gross. But we’re supposed to pretend she’s pretty.

When do I need to start a Middle Ground thread?
Posted on 11/23/21 at 8:35 am to Hester Carries
Exactly, was just about to post that this looks like something on the CW/WB. I'm out after the first episode.

If this is any indication for Lord of the Rings Amazon is in trouble

Episode 3 was a slog. I am not sure I will watch going forward. It's only 5 more episodes, so possibly.

Is this show double thread, spoiler nazi worthy? Should I watch this?

I actually don't think you are. I think she just is who she is. Everyone doesn't have to be pretty. That might even be the point.

Somebody answer the fricking question instead of giving down votes. Because it makes no sense.

We met the most interesting character thus far in Thom, it’s not Succession but it’s not a horrible watch.

I've watched all 3 episodes and it seems like most other movies/shows of this genre. Tell someone not to touch anything and guess what that person is going to do (how many times can this be done successfully).
My big question is when they went into the "dead" city why didn't the centaurs stay and/or surround the city? Their whole goal at this point is to get one or all four of the kids and they just leave with no trace.

I wondered the same thing. Also, why didn't the "heroes" walk around the outside of the city to find each other? At minimum when they split up they could have yelled, meet up to the east.

What's a major fantasy movie/TV Series without massive plotholes?

Like where were the orcs, I mean Trollics, when the witch and Lan went riding out the city? Also, "hey the city is being engulfed by this blackness but you don't need to know what it means." It seems rushed with the lack of character development and such.
