I'll echo some of the ones mentioned here.
As Above, So Below was surprisingly good to me. Pretty cool concept that I feel like they pulled off really well.
Babadook wasn't too great IMO, but it was decent (I just didn't like the ending).
Cabin in the Woods was great, especially if you like meta with your horror. It's fantastic (both as satire and a legit horror movie).
The Houses October Built was decent, but the ending was sort of weird and confusing.
Agree that the first Paranormal Activity was solid. It would've been one of the best horror movies I had ever seen had the trailer not completely ruined the ending. I was super pissed about that.
I've heard good things about It Follows, but haven't had a chance to watch it yet (almost did a couple nights ago actually).
If you like weird, sort of fricked up ones, Megan is Missing is not too bad (but it's pretty twisted though). May not be straight up horror though.
I thought Black Death was pretty solid. Plus, Sean Bean is in it, and he's awesome.
Zombeavers was mentioned, and while it's obviously stupid as frick, it's a fun watch.
House of the Devil is a good, slow-burn horror/thriller, and a throwback to old school horror movies.

The Conjuring
The first two Insidious films
And my personal favorite, "The Last Exorcism", but apparently I'm the only person I've met who actually likes this one.
Is "As Above, So Below" that good?
I love these movies, but I'd hardly say they're horror films. More of a dark comedy, at least that's how I see them.

I'm sad that my recent thread didn't make the Cocomo Horror List Hall of Fame

IMDB lists them as horror.
Lol to each their own. I guess I definitely wouldn't show them to my gf or a young teenager though without telling them that it may be creepy as frick.

No fame involved. I just haven't updated it in a while. Next time I'm feeling froggy, I'll add to it and I'm sure yours will be on there (provided a google search yields it).
You seem to have it at such quick disposal. Either that's an administrative super power or you must have a document that sits on your desktop for such an occasion, haha.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)
Posted on 10/27/15 at 12:05 pm to tigerbait2010
I watched Curse of Chucky last night on Netflix and it was really good.
Really got back to its roots of him being an evil doll, and also connected the first movie with the last one in a clever way.
Highly recommend.

It Follows was great, IMO
I loved it. I don't understand why it gets so much hate from some people.

Nah. I just google "tigerdroppings cocomolsu horror" and find it in the results.
Every time. Seriously.

Yeah I'm not sure why there's hate for it. It was a neat concept. I guess some felt it was sexual morality/slut shaming.

I thought Martyrs was okay. In the same vein of "fricked up" movies that I mentioned earlier, similar to Megan is Missing or Starry Eyes.
