Italian Giallo's are my favorite horror/thriillers. I'd probably go with Deep Red.

It truly is.

In threads like these I always nominate The Orphanage it's the best damn horror/thriller I've ever seen. A masterpiece of filmmaking.

Good to know.

I've read a lot of positive reviews on it, but the trailer really didn't get my attention.

I'd second The Orphanage. Great movie.

Just to warn you though, it does have subtitles. That seems to turn some people off.

Blair Witch Project. Hands down the scariest movie I've ever seen.

The remake of The Others is great.

I also actually really enjoyed Orphan, which has just a bit of annoying Hollywood cheese, but was nonetheless well conceived and pretty fricking chilling in places.
