Yeah Dangerfield and the dude from Christine are the main stars. Great movie.

That would be Keith Gordon. He's a pretty forgettable actor.

I liked Burt Young in it too.

"You got a problem?"

"No, I've got no problem."

"Now you do." Gut punch.

That’s most certainly not a “limited thought” film

Sounds like you have no clue what that means.

I just watched "There Will be Blood" with Daniel Day Lewis for the first time. Not necessarily a relaxing movie, but I thought Lewis was excellent in that movie. It really was dark, but an enjoyable watch.

Tremors, and if you like the first one there are several sequels.

Look, I absolutely love In Bruges, it’s an elite level film. But it’s also thought provoking and quite heavy. It’s the kind of movie that will stick in your mind for days after watching it. Personally, I don’t think that is the kind of the film the OP is looking for. Seems more like he wants to turn off his brain for a couple hours; not kick it into hyperdrive. In which case, In Bruges may not be the best recommendation. At least that’s how I read it.

Sunshine -Not a mind bender, but you get a great little story with little effort.

The Autopsy of Jane Doe - If you want a horror movie.
