Stanley Kubrick's classic "The Killing"

Great movie, but it would be cool to see a modern day version of it.

This won't be popular on this board but the Tupac movie flopped so fricking hard and should be given another go. That entire time period in the 90s with the east coast/west coast has never been covered well enough IMO. Particularly the corruption at the top of those record labels and the willingness to resort to violence.

A movie about Death Row Records, if done right, would be pretty great.

Straight Outta Compton showed you can do a movie like that, and the rise and fall of Suge and Death Row is so loaded with drama.

I think people would be shocked at how fricked up it would be.

Yes. I can roll with Force Awakens though if needed. Would be dumb to have a different director for each, but what the hell.

Episode 1 - Peter Jackson - Launch movie, it needs someone who can tell a grand story about to unfold. Proven director here in that space.

Episode 2 - Ridley Scott - Tricky middle film. Star Wars ('77) inspired him to be the director he became. Needs to have beginning and end with loose ends in a galactic space.

Episode 3 - Christopher Nolan - It needs to be dark, it is the transitional film to the world we grew up with. Needs to be a character driven film and not SFX/CGI.

Episode 7 - James Cameron - Because Rey. Cameron took Ripley even further and is good with strong female leads. Terrific track record in sci-fi movies

Episode 8 - Ridley Scott or Peter Jackson - Once again a transitional middle film. Peter has talked these twice, but Scott is better in a space realm.

Episode 9 - Steven Spielberg - His record is among the best, with some of the happiest endings and bringing the feelings. Proven action movie director and numerous Oscars.

Spin-offs
Boba-Fett - Michael Bay - Not loved here, but bring on the CGI and explosions

Kenobi - Clint Eastwood - Pure character driven grainy film.

I'd like to see "Midway" remade

Also, I really want that Spielberg miniseries "Mighty 8th" to actually be made before I die

Ooh, good one. Just needs to be a trilogy to fit in all the good stuff.

Not a remake, but they should probably consider another Momoa Conan movie. His first one wasn't terrible by Conan standards, but the public had issues with the lead.

Momoa's now a lot more marketable.

Clash of the Titans was always the one for me, then they remade it. Since then, if I like it, I don't want it remade and ruined.

Would have to be a period piece. Present day, they'd just pull out their iPhones and summon an Uber.

None. I wish reboots would fall out of vogue.
