re: What movie locations have you been to?

Most all places in Austin where Dazed and Confused was filmed.

Initech building and parked in Lumberg’s spot.

Lots of other random places in Austin where various movies, TV shows were shot.

Coolest one Skellig Island (Jedi temple) then drank a pint and ate one of the best bowls of seafood chowder ever at Skywalkers favorite watering hole "the Moorings"

I've been to the town where Sideways was filmed (Los Olivos), it's a small town off of a highway in rural California. Our visit wasn't intentional, but it's a cool little town.

Other than that, I'm not sure which places I've been to that are film locations, none that I specifically went to because movies were filmed there.

I've been to the "village" from Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls.

Recalling venues over the years. Played Mainroom in Minny from Purple Rain, the Greek from Get Him & probably other films.

Troubadoure, CBGB same deal. Stayed/played MGM Vegas/Ocean’s & Fremont St./Con Air.

Pretty sure I played Urban Cowboy’s Gilley’s years ago but may have been black out drunk.

Saw Marty & Elayne at the Dresden from Swingers. Still own signed CD

Miles of touring so lots of landmarks and big city stuff.

I just worked on a project at the state pen in Mansfield, Ohio where they shot Shawshank (and a few others). Creepy place and one our medics snapped a photo of what appeared to be a ghost. And I am a big skeptic of paranormal activity

Lots of spots in Austria where they filmed scenes from The Sound of Music.
