watched it weekly.

my teenagers errantly sat down to watch the mist last week (they're old enough to handle it) with their mom and I. had a good talk with them about it.

mom and i went to bed and immediately afterwards, my sons both turned this on to cheer themselves up and watched it until midnight.

Band of Brothers (I consider it a long arse movie.)
Saving Private Ryan
A Bridge Too Far
Patton
All Quiet on the Western Front (2022) is making gains. I think I've seen it five times since it came out.

I’m not real sure. I know my younger self wore out some Rocky IV on VHS. Gun to my head that would be my guess.

It’s either Jurassic Park or Terminator 2.

Would likely be my favorite movies from my youth that I still watch on occasion and that list would be:

Star Wars Original Trilogy
Dirty Dozen
Kelly’s Hero’s
Swiss Family Robinson
Lonesome Dove
Godfather I and II
Shawshank
Last of the Mohicans
Dumb and Dumber
Big Lebowski
Saving Private Ryan
Braveheart
Silverado
Tombstone
Band of Brothers
Rocky I II and IV
Predator
Robin Hood Prince of Thieves

If I had to pick one from that list as the most watched it would come down to Return of the Jedi, Godfather II, and Dumb and Dumber. Winner would likely be Return of the Jedi based on repeated viewings in the late 1980s

Because my oldest son was born in the early 90's (pre-DVR) and it kept peace in the home:

Free Willy
101 Dalmatians

Because I actually enjoyed them:

Jaws
The Godfather
Lonesome Dove (not a movie, but I still watch it once a year or so)

There aren't many movies I have seen more than once in a theater.

Halloween (the original)

Christmas Story (the marathon gets me)

Or the original Power Rangers (my son would rewind and watch it for 8 hours straight for days)

Probably Shawshank, The Family Stone, or Love Actually. I bet Shawshank is in the lead.

Night of the Living Dead- The Posse Arrives (1968) HD on YouTube

As a kid, I repeated the "Someone had a cookout here" line a lot. It stuck with my brothers and I.

It's funny what a kid takes away from a movie. After seeing The Bridge over the River Kwai, my brothers and I whistled The Colonel Bogey March or sang the "Comet, will make you vomit, so get some Comet, and vomit today."

I would say T2 or Predator are my two most watched. If we could have streamed movies as easily in the 80's, as we can now, The Road Warrior (1981), would be number one. If Apocalypto had been out longer, it would be up there.

Rocky 4 I think. As i've gotten older i enjoy 1 and 2 alot more but as a kid 3 and 4 were in heavy rotation. Rocky 4 director cut is very good as well. I like the scene with Apollo and Rocky talking in the backyard tossing the football

Most watched movies from each decade

Since I'm a classic movie guy, here are the movies I've watched the most from each decade.

30's: The Wizard of Oz-When I was a kid, there was no streaming, DVD's, VCR's, or cable. It came on one of the three networks we got, every year when I was a kid.

40's: It's a Wonderful Life-It came on every year at Christmas since the 80's.

50's: Ben-Hur -It came on TV every year around Easter.

60's: To Kill a Mockingbird-It feels like I've watched it at least once every year since the advent of cable.

70's: The Godfather-It was on cable a lot.

80's: Die Hard-It feels like it's been on some cable channel, every night, since the advent of cable.

90's: T2

2000's: Gladiator-It's another movie that feels like it's on cable every night.

2010's: Hell or High Water, Zero Dark Thirty or John Wick.
I still have cable. These three have been on a lot.

For me, it may actually be Demolition Man.
When I was in college it was in quick rotation on HBO, and I didn't have a remote control on the bedroom TV, so I just let it go.

Others that have to be up there
Wedding Singer, Ghostbusters, Christmas Vacation, Elf,
10 Things I Hate About You, MIB
