Horton Hears a Who. Could have been a sweet children's movie. All the hip inside references aimed at adults grated on my nerves.

The Happening.

I’ve seen bad movies, but this was the only one that was so bad I was actually mad when I left.

Worst movie I ever saw in theater, by FAR, was Cocktail in '88.

It was so fricking bad I stayed through all of it in shock at how bad it was.

I liked it, but then again, I was only 12.

I was just a kid and even then I knew what a horrid mess of a movie I was watching

I can't imagine having to sit through that as a kid in the theater. I remember seeing parts of it on VHS as a kid when my older sisters or mom were all into it because the book was some great work of philosophy or something.

I don't think any less of anyone who likes Shrek, if that makes a difference. It just wasn't for me. My second-worst theatrical experience was The Stepford Wives (which is admittedly worse than Shrek but I was not set up with expectations in the same way for that one).
