Apocalypto - the scene where Jaguar Paw jumps down the waterfall with the Mayan tribesmen chasing him. One of the tribesmen falls into the waterfall down and smashes his head into a rock.

I assume this means normal movies and not “torture porn” movies like Hostel and shite.
Hard to beat American History X. That was pretty shocking the first time I saw it. I can’t believe it wasn’t mentioned on the first page.

The blood eagle scene in Midsommar. Holy frick that was brutal could even see the lungs still sucking in air
Something about being kept alive while being hung up by lungs in order to simulate wings is a whole different kind of fricked

What about in Terminal List when he hatchets the guys guts, pins them to the post and tells him to walk?

Everyone going with brutal physically and rightfully so
I’ll add for me a brutal death was William Wallace even though the disembowling was off screen. Just watching that movie for the first time as like a 12 year old, seeing him get captured and tortured was brutal.
Not knowing anything about history at the time I thought there’d be an escape but no, that was brutal in a different way

One False Move the bags over their head and then slowly sticks the knife in.
The death in Beter Call Saul when they put the bag over the guys head then hog tie him and make Nacho watch him die.

The guy getting sucked into the sand in Lawrence of Arabia.
The boat captain getting speared in Apolcalypse Now.
The Russian roulette scene in The Deer Hunter.
Mr. Kreosote in The Meaning of Life
Anyone that got their eyes pecked out in The Birds.

Damn dude. Just end the thread before it starts.
The scene where Andy Serkis gets swallowed alive from the head by that gigantic bug in Peter Jackson’s King Kong. I just can’t watch that scene.

Bond watching Vesper drown. Not as brutal but it was for me simply because I wanted to marry her.

Not the most, but in Jurassic World, the way they killed off the assistant tasked with watching the kids was pretty brutal.
I think she was the only person killed off when the pterodactyls escaped.
