So many great scenes in that pic. The "duck of death" scene with Hackman, Mr. Beauchamps and Richard Harris, where little Bill reveals the truth behind the legend of English Bob.

Angony of defeat Friday Night Lights
Anybody that's ever played football and was worth a damn has felt this before.
We lost quater final game when i was a SR in high school on very similar fashion as this.

Yep.It's such a slow zoom that you don't really notice it until the last line is delivered. By then, it's a close up of Michael.

However, I will always be irked that they picked Ray Liotta (who did fine) to play Shoeless Joe Jackson and not a southerner.

One scene in a Clint movie that never gets mentioned is from Dirty Harry. He is walking down the stairs with the wife of his wounded partner. After telling her police work is no life for a young couple she asks Harry why he still does it. His response - "I don't know. I really don't." - sums up the entire Harry Callahan character succinctly. The tortured sense of duty to a cause he knows is hopeless trying to protect people that don't appreciate or may not even deserve his sacrifice.
