Here are the recommendations for major franchises.
Mortal Kombat: TV Series. Seriously, Warner, what the frick are you waiting for? With Game of Thrones ending next year, this is the perfect candidate for a TV-MA HBO Series.
Diablo: Movie. The storyline for the world of Sanctuary is not so huge that it can't be done 3-movie LOTR style.
Warcraft: TV Series. This one could be done either with SyFy, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime or premium channels (HBO, Starz, Showtime, etc.). They'd have to dedicate one season to each major arc: Orcs and Humans was covered in the movie which leaves Tides of Darkness/The Dark Portal, Reign of Chaos, The Frozen Throne/Founding of Durotar, The Burning Crusade/Black Temple, Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm, Mists of Pandaria, Warlords of Draenor, Legion and the current expansion as season arcs.
Starcraft: TV Series. See above. You have Rebel Yell/Rise of the Dominion, The Fall of Aiur, Death of the Overmind, Exodus to Shakuras, Invasion of the UED, Omega (Ascension of the Queen of Blades), Wings of Liberty, Heart of the Swarm, Legacy of the Void, and finally Into the Void/Aftermath.
God of War: Movie. The game best suited for a movie franchise.
Metal Gear Solid: You have several problems with this. You have the convoluted timeline, the sometimes hilarious suspension of disbelief, and the requirement for the lead actor to play two, maybe even three roles simultaneously (David, Eli and George are all clones of "John Doe"/Big Boss). Significant risk of trying to force everything into one movie like what happened with The Dark Tower.
Zelda: The biggest problem is that the protagonist never speaks. Link never has any dialogue.

Half-life could maybe be good but they would need to make it helllla depressing.
Like he's completely desperate for ammo or food and just starts crowbarring wooden boxes.

They would have to make the major franchise games into a series of movies or cut a lot of content, these games can some times take 30 hours an up per game.

If I had to take a guess what the order would be:
1) Ocarina of Time
2) Majora’s Mask
3) The Wind Waker
4) Breath of the Wild

Mass Effect
also think the Mafia games would be a badass Netflix or hbo series

Mass Effect, not close
Other correct answers would be Kyle Katarn's Star Wars run, Bayonetta, Shadow fo the Colossus, Skyrim, Half Life 2, Final Fantasy 6

If you want epic the answer is Wind Waker...not Ocarina.

Would love a Bioshock ~8 episode miniseries that begins with Rapture at its prime, then finishing with the downfall.
