Remember how Bernard's slam piece (I believe she works for Delos - the financial backer of WestWorld) did not want Bernard's team looking at woodcutter after he smashed his brains in? I have a very good feeling she is behind it and covering it up. Trying to find something on Ford to get him removed from the park is my guess.

there are places a hundred miles wide in the US and Australia and Russia and China where one could build such a park.

Yes, this is true. However, Ford did say he designed/engineered every bit of the park, "every blade of grass." So, seems to me that the whole place is a construct.

I see it as this.
Say you want to play a game where you hunt and shoot other people military style. As a kid you would point a toy gun and yell "bang I got you" but then it isn't wnough. There is no real winner or loser, so you move to laser tag. You enjoy it, but it isn't enough there is no incentive not to get shot. So you switch to paintball and it fricking hurts every time you get shot so you adjust so you get shot less while maximizing your targeting of others.
You are playing the same game, yet the stakes get higher as the skill level improves.

There were a number of soldiers standing around town in Ep1 and one was clearly the leader. I think that was Wyatt.

Elsie is pretty good portraying an engineer/technician/etc.
I have worked on production/troubleshooting side of engineering but now I'm currently doing QA which involves oversight on engineering/production and it's pretty funny how each of these Delos departments despise each other. Definitely get that response being in QA, haha.
In the end, whether Jonathon Nolan and his wife write themselves into a corner, you really gotta give them credit for how deep the series is and just the overall quality. The symbolism is some of the best I've seen, possibly surpassing TD season 1.
