I can't believe this is the same chick who was the Vampire Queen of Louisiana in True Blood. She's come a long way.

All I know her from is Across the Universe. She plays a similar type personality in that one (trapped small town girl looking for bigger things)

I didn't go through 11 pages.... but I think you are all high thinking there is a 35 year difference between the two story lines. So Delores started freaking out hearing Arnold's voice 35 years ago... meets young MIB... tells him she needs his help... and then they spend the next 35 years lookignf or the maze while delores keeps it a secret? LOL. Also remember she didn't get the gun until she got her " new" father after the old one whispered in her ear and set this whole thing in motion, which was clearly in the current timeline. the two stories are instanced but in no way are they that far apart. weeks maybe. years? no. Just no.

Kind of funny that she acted high and mighty about the guy fricking the hosts

She was just blackmailing that guy. She doesn't really care.

Well, we know that the stories aren't exactly happening concurrently because of Lawrence being in both the Dolores story line and the MiB story line. There are two possibilities for this:
A. The MiB story line is ahead of the Dolores story line. This is possible if the events involving Dolores and krewe lead to Lawrence being captured by that Union regiment where the MiB finds him about to be hung.
B. The park employees collected dead Lawrence from where the MiB killed him, reconditioned him, and reset him in his story line just in time for Dolores and Krewe to meet up with him in Pariah.

First time I watch, I just take it in without any speculation as to what might be happening. Then I watch it again a day or two later to pick up on the little things usually after this thread gets some steam. I like the two perspectives. I get way more out of these types of shows this way.

i just re-watched episode 3. there wasn't a direct interaction b/w the wyatt storyline and william (although they did edit it to make it look like dElores did show up at william's camp after an incident that would be linked to the wyatt storyline)

also, while watching i did think that since the hosts wear the same clothing, it would make the multiple storylines easier for that reason (not that is PROVES anything. just a variable i thought about)

I'm sure someone else has mentioned, but I love the music in this series. Loved Nine Inch Nail's "Something I Can Never Have" in this one.

I'm completely terrible at recognizing songs that are remade at a different tempo/pace etc like for movies/tv

I can recognize that I know the song but I cannot place what the song actually is

I watched TWD last night (not by choice, friends were watching it) and they were doing a gospel version of some song I've deffeinitly heard before but have no idea what song it was

I still can't hear the black hole sun in this show either. I'm clearly tone deaf or something

ETA the TWD song was Don't think twice, its alright by bob Dylan. I had to look it up

I recognized Paint It Black, Black Hole Sun, Something I Can Never Have, and Ain't No Grave.

Here's a fun game: Who do we know for certain is human?

Robert Ford. Evidence: we have seen him as a younger man in a picture and as a flashback.
not 100% certain of that. Younger Ford definitely was, but perhaps he somehow transferred his sentience into a basically immortal "host" (and maybe that's why they are called HOSTS??)
quote:

Chick from corporate. Evidence:visited the park as a girl; rotated to the park
Yep
quote:

William and Logan. Ev.: arrived on train from real world.
yep
quote:

MiB. Ev.: Convo with Ford; Recognized by nameless guests.

Ummm... not 100% sure either. Maybe an evolved host that has left the reservation; regular host rules don't apply to him and he's been outside. But why does he need to find the maze? Is his host body breaking down from lack of maintenance, and he needs a tuneup?

Alternatively, he's human, and seeking to transfer his sentience INTO a host (see the above Ford theory).

Reddit can frick you up with this show. So is the MiB some kind of authority in Delos or is he just that knowledgeable of the park?

I do think the park has to be on another planet for this to all by possible. What convinced me was Ford's confident handling of the rattlesnake a while back. How would he have known the snake was a robot if he couldn't be sure that *any* snake he encountered was a robot?

It would have to be in our solar system as well, as the Orion's belt discussion would have been moot if the planet was somewhere else. There is really only one world that could be capable of this kind of terraforming: Mars. That has to be where this is set.
One other possibility... Earth.

A DEAD Earth, and all that is left are hosts. Hosts for the show, and alternative hosts depicting the employees and visitors, slowly integrated as the human population died out. You know, to keep it running, in case the humans ever came back...
because something involving AI and incredibly durable pseudohumans (hosts, in other words) led to the war, possibly biological weapons, that wiped out humanity.

Because there's some childlike sentience to hosts, and just like a dog might still hang around his late owner's porch, waiting for him to come back.

Just saying
