Well it’s doing some more building of the story/cycle where in and the parts they’re all playing.

Connecting Francis and Rose, the sling shot, etc.

Found it funny Halloran wants no part of Hamlin’s mind after being in it with his damaged amygdala.

Graveyard scene green screen acting and CGI were really bad. Definitely my least favorite episode of the 3.

Next week should be better with Skarsgard being the rest of the episodes.

I felt like I was watching goosebumps during this scene.

There was a lot of bad cgi in this one and some of the acting felt like a local theater. I did enjoy the Halloran stuff for the most part though.

So I’m assuming the version of IT the General and the Indian Maw Maw ran into was 2 cycles ago or 54 years ago since they are both easily mid 60’s. I liked that flashback because it explains his obsession with finding what is out there. I hope we get another flashback of him as a late 30’s early 40’s soldier when he figures out the cycle.

I read that season 2 will deal with the 1935 cycle (Bradley Gang) and season 3 will be the 1908 cycle.

Graveyard scene was something out of a Disney channel movie, however the scene with Pennywise being teased was great. Skaarsgard really brings it in that role even if merely hinted at.

Ehh I dug that episode and the forest scene was creepy. The graveyard scene definitely had a goosebumps vibe to it but I was like this gives it some rewatchability during the Halloween season. The idea was good but the execution was a little bit lacking and it’s ok to have some fun scares rather than just downright messed up and depressing which I’m sure plenty of that is lined up the rest of the way I thought the military son was a goner though and that was going to be the catalyst for getting the dad bought in on all of the weird shite. Guess not.

Is anyone else confused with the dang timeline? The book starts with the main group in 1958 (I get that the show/movie advanced it a couple years). Will Hanlon is supposed to be the father or Mike Hanlon? Wasn't Mike Hanlon the child in the original IT Movie made in 1989 that started with the kids from 1960? I don't know why I'm having such a hard time with this

It goes off the movie timeline not the book timeline.

Leroy is Mike's grandfather & Will is Mike's father. Not sure what you're having trouble with.

I guess I'm going back to the original movie (filmed in 1989). The Losers club was started with the original kids in 1960. Mike, Richie, Bill, Stanley, Eddie....etc.

The book/Welcome to Derry is supposed to be from the same timeish. So how is Leroy in this same timeframe Mikes grandfather? Wouldn't this be Will and not Mike?

Different timelines across the books, films, & series. They made changes to the timeline for the different adaptations.

A lot of reading but maybe this will help
