I started this the other night not realizing there were only two episodes out. I wasn’t all that into it at first, but after a few beers I kept watching and that flash-forward twist at the end totally hooked me. The shift in tone was great. Tried to pick it up again the next night and realized it had auto-started Weapons after episode two. Still, hell of a twist.

Caught E2 yesterday, and it was solid.
Also, I don't find the show woke at all. There's a huge difference between racist shite and woke shite, and this isn't that IMO.
It's cool that they are tying this with the SK universe. We are seeing Dick Halloran, and also got a "Do you know what they do to prisoners at Shawshank?" reference.
Felt bad for Lilly with the whole "change your tune or we'll send you back to the looney bin" blackmail thing. Also felt bad for Ronnie with her dad being arrested.
If I'm that black army dude, there's no chance in hell I'm trusting the general who was like "Oops, my bad...that was just a test though, and you passed. I just wanted to see how scared you'd get lol sorry." I'd be like "and what if I didn't pass...you would've let them beat me to death or something? frick off."
I assume that car that they found in the woods is the car from the opening of E1, right?

I thought the same thing at first but then I looked again and it didn’t look like a car from the 60’s. It had skinny tires didn’t it? Like something from the 30’s. I could be completely wrong I had had a few beverages.

Yeah, if we want a show to be "accurate", can't remove something that existed because it makes us uncomfortable.

you sent people to beat me with pipes as a test? wtf? And what happens if I kill them as a response? is that like that era's "code red"?

That car was a 1930s car like a packard. Not the 1950s car in episode one .

Lilly looks uncannily like Tom Hanks to me

Unfortunately she looks like old Tom Hanks.
For your troubles.

Man that bedroom scene was like something out of Nightmare on Elm Street and the grocery store scene was great too until that thing put itself together. The jar shite was real creepy. I’m digging it and am enjoying the military back story too. Just get rid of that stupid baby thing and we are in business. Oh and I still think the current IT rendition looks stupid as shite with the big forehead.

It's older. Looks pretty close to this 1916-26 Packard.

Funny I have never been a big "It' fan but for October decided to watch them all.
Man and then we get this awesome show on top

So is the prevailing theory that the car they found is from the cycle before this one?
I like most everything about the show but yes the demon baby sucks

I believe I saw a gun in the car as well. Almost like a tommy gun ha. I guess this will be during the prohibition era?

Yeah, the switch in the tone of voice for the mother was a great call. She went to some monstrous voice, to this calm but very unnerving "See what a mess you made?"

IIRC, there was an incident in Derry very similar to the Bonnie & Clyde shoot ‘em up in N. La.

I haven't read the books so I wasn't sure. The preview at the end of episode 2 showed something like that.

Giving this a bump for tonight’s episode

So far pretty meh. Only about halfway through though.

Definitely the worst episode out of the three, but they can’t all be bangers.

It may be me but not really feeling this iteration or IT.
