With the success of this movie, there will be definitely be a Weapons 2. Looking forward to seeing Creggers Resident Evil too.
Enjoyed the movie a lot, but this is 100% not the way to go. Why does everything need sequels? The success of this movie all falls on the director and writer……… Creggers.
I think the outcome of the success of this movie is going to result in more original movies by creggers that studios will pay him lots of money (or big bids for the rights. Like what happen to this movie).
And yes I know his next movie is resident evil, not an original story. But I think he will go the Nolan dark night method.
Resident evil
Original movie
(If 1st one is successful) resident evil 2
Original movie
And so on

I don’t think Barbarian gets a sequel and don’t necessarily want a Weapons sequel but I think the studio will push for it and Weapons has more of a story to explore.

This movie is going to suffer from over hype from the critics and early reviews
Every Hollywood horror film that gets released nowadays will be overhyped due to social media marketing. It’s why I don’t even bother to see most of them.

Saw it yesterday. It was pretty good, maybe a 7/10. The title really doesn't make a lot of sense.
So the cops never went back to the house a second time?
I was expecting Josh Brolin's map to show a pentagram.

I think the kids just standing in the basement feed her power in a way. At least that’s how I took it.

That was such well done scene. Creeped me out real good.

Saw it yesterday. I give it a 8.7. About 5 scenes made me jump. The suspense was top notch. Acting was good. Only glaring hole in the plot for me was that the cops had all the ring videos and couldn’t conclude they were all headed to aunt Gladys’s location like Josh brolin figured out with only 2 ring videos? Prequel would be the way to go for a follow up movie.

Cops were completely worthless in both of his films.

I saw it last night. One of my favorite movies I’ve seen in quite awhile. Very original. Great performances by Brolin, Madigan, Garner, Abrams, and Ehrenreich. There was a little bit of a lull but the ending brought it all back. The ending scene with the children chasing the aunt was hilarious. Lot of good laughs mixed in with suspense/gore. Cregger really nailed it

I think that is kind of the point, to highlight how worthless they are in situations like this and how little they actually seem to do (in the public's eye at least) to try and solve anything.

I went to see this due to the hype. It was just ok. Certainly did not live up to the hype for me. Barbarian was better.

social media has ruined how people view and watch movies and tv shows now.

I still don’t know why Brolin saw the gun in the sky during his fever dream.
Still very confused by that. It really made no sense.

I’m pretty sure that was to symbolize that the kids where turned into weapons at 2:17am.
ohhh ok, that makes sense.

If it makes you feel any better, Cregger said it came to him in a dream and he doesn’t really know what it means either

It was pretty crazy. The old lady with the clown makeup creeped me out. The twist was pretty good. All in all i enjoyed it

I loved it.
Second favorite film of the year behind Sinners.
Lightyears better than Barbarian, which completely fell off the rails in the third act.
