You don't get it. No one had a problem with Thudd getting the sword, because he was treated like literally any other character.
I mean there's a guy on this board whining because he felt the final season of the fricking new girl got too political....you're telling me if this movie were released today some of the perpetually offended here would have 0 issue with it? I call bullshite.

Having a minority character doesn't make it woke. Having a minority character's entire personality and raison d'etre be based around their minority status is what makes it woke.
and I agree with this...but again now either way you do it, its not enough or too much for one side

idk if I've ever been as happy for another kid when Thudd got the sword at the end of course now this board would hate that ending and call it woke
The same board that loves Ruffio?

What kind of weirdo douchbag are you?
Talk about injecting politics into stupid shite. And your idiotic take has been debunked yet now you’re playing the last word game, which is more tripling down on stupid.
Also, your very first comment was plainly stupid
The “role” in Hook was a grown arse man, not little boy Peter, so your post doesn’t even make any sense in the first place. Retard.

the only part I didn't like is they swapped a role typically played by a petite woman to Robin Williams who doesn't fit that description at all.

The “it was you” from Robin to his son about the happy thought. Just the way he says it and the way it was filmed. The infamous “you are playing with us, Peter.” I wonder how old the mermaids were that 40 year old Robin was kissing?
One of the mermaids was a guest star on saved by the bell. She played Slater’s girlfriend from Germany who just so happened to enroll as a new student at Bayside but apparently only stayed at the school for the duration of one episode

Watched Hook for the first time in a while yesterday
Just watched the 2011 SyFy Miniseries (2 episodes) of Neverland on Freevee.
It's a prequel that tells the story of how Peter and the Lost Boys got to Neverland, the origin of the hate between Hook and Peter, why TinkerBell was kicked out of the fairies (tree spirits).
I can't say that it was great. But, it wasn't awful. My teenage Sci-Fi, fan fiction geek daughter enjoyed the take they took.

Something I didn’t get until I was older was that Peter is an M&A attorney for a company that basically buys up smaller companies and sells them for parts.
“You’ve become a pirate”

I love this miniseries. It is definitely still SyFy channel and has some pretty laughable moments, like the crocs. The re-imagining of the story though is a very cool concept and works really well. Rhys Ifans was a fantastic Hook.

It wasn't a good joke, for starters. If that's even what he was trying to do.

I genuinely didn't enjoy Robin Williams as an actor.
I know he is beloved, but I put him up there with Wanda Sykes as someone that just grates on my nerves.
I did like him as the "Genie," though.

I enjoyed it as well. Well worth the watch for a SyFy original.
