I kinda agree. It would have made more sense if his mom would have got 2nd tier SWC schools to look at him. Maybe UTEP.

I posted the below in the "Defend a Villian" thread and I still stand by it. Mox was a punk.

quote:

Coach Bud Kilmer was not a perfect man, but he was 100% right to be up Mox's arse. Mox was completely trying to usurp his control, including installing his own playbook and running his own plays. At a school like West Canaan those players would have been taught variations of Kilmer's playbook/blocking schemes from the first time they put pads on so that by the time they reached high school they could operate as a well oiled machine. And yet here comes some kid who doesn't even like football all that much trying to run 5 wide receiver sets and call hook and ladders to their 360 pound right guard. Dumbest smart kid, indeed.

And don't get me started on Mox getting all pissy about Kilmer rightfully calling him out after the Coyotes dropped a big district game to a weak opponent.

"The hard work of so many, sacrificed by the disrespect of a few. Moxon, you sacrificed the honor of this football team and the town that supports it. shite, you poisoned my team, son. I hope last night was fun! Hope it was fun!"

The scene paints Kilmer like he's some out of pocket a-hole, but he's completely right! Mox DID organize an all night drinking binge with the team's most important players which caused them to play like crap and drop a game they had no business losing. Just because Mox didn't care about football or winning district doesn't mean the other players who are working hard don't care about it. His behavior was disrespectful to everyone involved, but instead of taking responsibility all he did was pout and cry about mean ole Coach Bud Kilmer.

Granted the injury stuff with Kilmer is impossible to defend, but just because Kilmer was wrong in that regard doesn't mean Moxon was right about everything else.

then you couldn't play the race card. Which is the whole point in that scene. He's Kilmer's "black work horse" and only has Grambling looking at him. Kilmer was racist, which was just another character flaw for the villain story line.

100% agree with your take on this scene.

No, to the topic question.

Mox's girlfriend Jules was hot af.

Mox should have cleaned that whip cream bikini off Darcy with his tongue, then banged her in the arse. Note: she (Ali Larter) plays a good whore in the Billy Bob series - Landman. She is still freaking hot, and has kept her body rock solid.

Lance was a bonafide 5 star blue chipper. Tossing TDs and banging Darcy Spears.

Also this thread has entertained me greatly. Well done.

VB had some cheesy over the top moments among the great ones, but that pep rally scene was just perfect, exactly how ours were.

You'd be wrong. The whirlwind of a kid trying to figure out which path to choose in life vs the stoic & cold hearted choices of Coach Kilmer?

GTFO!

I can't get over the fact that there were only a few coaches on staff and they all bailed at halftime of a district championship team and let the kids coach the team.

And the Principal let it happen.

And the Superintendent.

And the parents.

That was the "Oh BS" moment for me. Everything else was halfway believable, except for a QB from a run first team was going to Florida State and the tailback was not being recruited.

Jonathan Moxon graduated magna cum luade from Brown University in 2003 and remained in academia as an Ethics professor until 2022 when he was ousted during the #metoo movement by a vindictive co-ed who was none other than Bud Kilmer's granddaughter

He is currently the assistant manager at the West Canaan Walmart

Most of those dudes will end up working at Bucees or Texaco. You do what you have to do to win district and have those memories forever.

Mox was a bitch. If dude didn't want to be a team player or go by the playbook that has won the school 22 district titles, he should have just quit. Tweeder could have ran the wildcat and won a title too.
