Why did Rick go back to the Junctaclods?
Posted on 11/27/17 at 6:38 am to AshLSU
As far as the garbage people, it seems like they just want to be left alone. Which makes Rick every bit as bad as the Saviors with his whole “join us or we destroy you” proposition.

All Rick should want to do to the garbage people is kill every last one of them. frick Rick and Jesus both.

So we could see the ugly broad making a junk sculpture wearing nothing but a leather apron?
But apparently it's all in the plan. What that is, we have no idea

At least Maggie told Jesus that the only reason she is holding the prisoners is for trading leverage if any of their people get captured, but that they'll have to kill them when all is said and done.

They claim to just want to be left alone, but they have no problem killing people if there is something in it for them. They need to be exterminated, but I understand why the coalition has not yet done that. They are still involved in a war with a much larger group and can't afford to lose any numbers yet.

Jesus, the whiny bitch fest never ends.
Super Carol is getting annoying on newer and bolder levels. Seriously, bitch. Why do you want to survive at all if you're so miserable all the time? And take off the ridiculous motorcycle pads. They serve no practical purpose whatsoever.
I still dig the show, though. You guys are weenies.

Exactly. Maggie should have shot him in the face when he tried to take the gun. Then tell the others if you resist you die.

I'm not sure they could be explaining things in a worse and more drawn out way (that never goes anywhere) if they tried.
Interesting that even some of the staunchest TWD defenders are saying this episode sucked. It did.
Things just don't make sense. So now we have confirmed that the Sanctuary is surrounded by snipers, whom Rick says will "Shoot anybody that opens the doors." Well, where the frick were they when Negan and all the important higher-ups were standing out in the open taunting everybody when shite popped off? Stupid.
Jesus and Maggie having multiple conversations going back and forth RIGHT IN frickING FRONT OF THE PRISONERS was fricking stupid. I bet every one of them was like "Ha, they don't have their shite together here...we should be able to take over in no time."
My mother would hate me for saying this, but frick Jesus. Right in the a-hole. He sucks and is pretty much a liability at this point. How stupid can you be? That is now the third time that a Savior has tried to make a move AS SOON AS the opportunity presented itself, and he still is all like "we have to show compassion, and my pussy hurts, and blah blah." Stupid.
On top of all of that, not shooting Gregory in the face ASAP may be the dumbest thing they've all done. I suppose he will have some sort of saving grace at some point, but even if he does they should have killed him by now. And it would be 100% defensible too. Plus, doing it in front of everybody (including the prisoners) would show them that Maggie isn't fricking around.
Speaking of Maggie, at this point I hope we find out she lost the baby and she sort of inherits the new baby that Rick found. I am tired of wondering if she is pregnant or not, and trying to figure out how Judith aged like 1.5 years and Maggie still looks like she's in the early stages of her first trimester.
Daryl and fat broad slamming into the runaway truck was hilarious. Were they just waiting there outside? Was it a legitimate accident? Should Daryl have exchanged insurance information instead of bullets? He just got out, no questions asked, and capped that chick...he had no idea what was happening or if she was bad or whatever. I guess he could have seen Rosita and Michonne running after it, but that still doesn't mean much. Stupid.
Speaking of stupid, I am not sure Michonne and Rosita could have handled their little situation any worse/more stupidly than they did. Good job, ladies. I also got a kick of them parking the car in the middle of the road and not trying to hide it at all. There are still Saviors around, people.
Carol, chin up, buckeroo. You are starting to get worse and worse.
Carl craving that penis pretty hardcore, best I can tell. He is looking more and more like a girl every time he is in an episode. I'd like to take time right now to reiterate just how much I hate that fricking a-hole.
Also, all of these places seem to be within relatively easy walking distances of each other. That seems really odd to me for whatever reason.
I am sure I will get some hate for doing nothing but bitching about this episode, but there wasn't really any part of it that I liked or particularly enjoyed last night. Even Rosita blowing that dude apart with the rocket was stupid. I know they thought it would be cool, but it just was lame and out of place. Not to mention it will be compared to Daryl doing it earlier a few seasons ago (which was awesome).
This episode just fell way flat for me. And this season as a whole is too. I've always said I would be in for this show until the end, but it's becoming more and more of a bore for me. And I hate that.

Thank you! It actually would've made more sense for her to kill him. Hell, his co-saviors probably would've appreciated it but they definitely would've understood.
I try not to be nitpicky but this isn't a nitpick imo. The lazy writers know he's utterly hateable and are just hanging on to him for some later episode for the killshot payoff for the audience. Cheapass bullshite.

I wouldn't be hoping for some half-assed peace accord with Negan, like it's the Geneva Convention or something like Jesus seems to expect. It's cold-blooded, but I'd just sweep them all away.

She was very attractive when she first appeared on the show with The Governor. Had a nice body. Then she had a baby and just went to shite.
You are a professional actress on a show where food resources are scarce. She has to be a good 50 lbs from when she started the show.

They kidnapped Gabriel, made that first deal with Rick when they didn’t have to, then betrayed Rick’s group. Not exactly just wanting to be left alone and Rick and company should want to hit them back.

Yeah, I remember her talking about it at some point. And it was like yeah I am bigger but I just had a baby.
That was like two years ago.
And she seems even bigger now than she was then as well.

In the end of times crap that they are going through, you dont trust anyone. Kill anyone that shows any chance of being bad.

Which makes his just walking in there by himself even dumber. What happens to the plan and the group if they just said "Alone? Kill" and just shot him on the spot?

It was definitely an underwhelming episode. I don't mind when they take a break from action packed episodes, but in this case they did pretty much zero character development as well.
Last week (and I think a bit the week before), they had some decent Negan and the reverend character moments. This week, nothing. The Carol/Ezekiel stuff fell flat, and the never ending line walking between not wanting to be too big of a pussy to actually survive and not wanting to be so bloodthirsty you lose who you are has just been done too many times and they are down to unconvincing and stupid iterations of the theme.
I did think it was kind of funny that they were all gung ho on following "the plan," but most of the episode revolved around at least four characters going off on tangents.

Also
They showed that there are snipers watching the sanctuary in case anyone tries to
Leave, however negan and Gabe were able to stroll around through the walkers into the sanctuary without snipers seeing
