Liucci is basically the Chicken of TexAgs, right?
Not exactly. He's one of the owners of the site, but his main deal is being Mr. Aggie Football Insider. He started out by being friends with a couple players when he was a student, then going on local sports radio and sending out a newsletter with his inside gossip. Kind of grown from there, but he's not the founder or webmaster of Texags.

hes a douche but also a millionaire

Yeah. And I don't think he was even a co-owner early on. Brandon Jones (WatchOle) I believe is the guy that built the site originally I think. Brandon is kind of a douchebag too, but not as much as Liucci. They let Texags get way too far into bed with the University which I'm sure made them a lot of money, but it also resulted in far more censorship, less objectivity about the program, and incredibly poor moderation policies.
TD is a much better place to post.

When it comes to southern sports message boards, I always think of Bama Online, TD, TexAgs, and Shaggy Bevo (now Surly Horns?) as the biggest boards.
Don’t know anything about the moderators at the other sites.

How they just made up the lie he comes from oil money and then the next clip is skip bayless and the talking heads on tv repeating it was pretty funny. His buddy handled that situation well.
Seems like that should of been something that was fact checked. I doubt he was giving a ton of money to his parents and changing their life drastically from the last 18 years. Not hard to find out if their rich.

I don’t think moderation on TexAgs is THAT bad, but they definitely keep it PG13 due to the association with the university.

I enjoyed it. I don’t hate him as much as I used too and he seems to have finally matured a little.

U watch the same show as me??
Posted on 8/10/23 at 5:33 am to themetalreb
Watched last night and was sort of disappointed. It really didn’t tell us anything we didn’t already know and was only a little over an hour so stayed pretty high level.

It was pretty boring. He's a dousch nozzle. ...still

It’s called empathy. He is 100% to blame for all his shite and owned that in the end.
I still don’t like him, but I do have empathy for him now.

I love the fact that despite his successful run he never beat LSU.
Not a peep about LSU thru the entire documentary.
I thought it was amazing he did not watch any film while a pro football player. His iPad logged zero hours. The organization musta been WTF??? Dude didn't give a shite.

He was an addict that was addicted to being the life of the party, banging hot arse, vip bottle services, etc.
Fame does some pretty crazy things to people who are as young/immature as what he was at the time. I watched him playing golf on bobdoessports youtube and he seemed like a cool normal guy. IMO if he had gotten taken by the Texans or Cowboys I think he would've had a better shot at a decent career. Cleveland was a dumpster fire back then.

He didn’t really throw shite away because he really didn’t take football seriously. He admits this. He never truly wanted to play football after A&M

Does he cover when a d0wntown Thibodaux and a Rox's rat got him kicked out of the Manning Passing Academy by Archie?

true. i will say, to his credit, he doesnt play the blame game. so many of these types of boom to bust sports figures want to blame coaches, parents, whitey, the system, the government, whoever for their own personal shortcomings. he is pretty much like, yeah i just didnt give a frick. as much as i think he is a moron, i can at least respect his honesty in that regard.

Actually agree.
IMO the majority of the negative vibe on Manziel was of him being a douche bag and/or a frickup, but not necessarily a bad guy (aside from a few substance-fueled episodes of shite). Certainly some arrogance there as well but probably the more aloof than a-hole kind.
I always wondered if, despite his college football supremacy, if he lacked confidence in his abilities to achieve at the NFL level, which obviously is not uncommon at all (i.e., someone awesome at college ball falling way short as a pro against pro level players).

I came away thinking he didn’t even really want to play at A&M. He just did it because he was good at it, gave him a free ride and got him arse at all the frat parties. Then after the Bama game, it snowballed on him and he took advantage of it, still didn’t want to play, but had to in order to keep making assloads of money and meeting cool celebs.
Having THAT kind of fame and success in that short amount of time thrown at you while 19-20 just does something to you mentally, especially to someone who LOVED being the life of the party and had problems with drugs and alcohol.

Nah. I just don’t think he loved football. You have to love that shite to make it in the NFL. He loved what football brought him: fame, money, easy access to drugs and alcohol and tons of arse. Can’t say I blame him. It was pretty obvious when he said he needed a break after playing two years of college ball, dealing with allegations and then the combine and draft. Part of that was the alcohol and drugs, but dude was depressed he had to live up to the Johnny Football narrative that took on a life of its own.
