Can’t believe there’s not a thread on this…if there is and I missed it, I apologize…I’m about 10 minutes in…arrogance redefined.

as an aggie fan, it was a wild year. Sumlin didn't let him talk to the press till after his last game or so, so people had 0 idea what he was like till he started making his heisman push.

after he won (rightfully so) the wheels fell off.

It was wall to wall coverage of him a decade ago.. it would be even more insufferable now

Also: he pretty much single handededly best Ole Miss back to back years . That was just absurd .

For the release date police, I am very sorry my comment wrecked your day lol…try to calm down. With wit, grit, and no small amount of courage, I believe you can make it through this storm.

I just watched it while getting ready for the day. It is a good watch. You can see things from Johnny's side and see how things got so out of control so fast. The stories of what you don't know are pretty entertaining. His 2 years at aTm were more than most people could do in a lifetime. Incredible ride.

I love the fact that despite his successful run he never beat LSU.

lol yep.

2012 was a fun year to be an Aggie football fan, although in the long run it didnt amount to much other than hype. loved Manziel that year, realized what a dbag he was the next year, and have considered him to be pretty much an insufferable moron since then.

Sumlin and Kingsbury both owe Manziel a huge chunk of their follow-on contracts because they sure didnt earn that money themselves.

all in all, it's a sad story. with the right coach and in the right hands it could have been so much different and better with him. he needed a strong role model and leader as a coach, and instead he got swagcopters and icy-white uniforms and a whole bunch of vapid bullshite.

the Sumlin / Johnny years are when i went from die-hard Aggie football fan to pretty much not giving a shite, and that's about where i'm at still.

mine was the UCLA game. we were up 30 and they started acting like damn fools and i told my wife to leave me alone and let me see them lose this game and i'll give up for the year. she laughed and said they're up 27 , not a fair bet. i said not for long.

what a horrible year.
