What about "the Wrestler" With Mickey Rourke?

That movie was up for Oscars, so it definitely isn't underrated. It's one of my favorite movies of the past decade as well, of any genre.

I agree with Mystery, Al and Mr. Baseball.

I like Stealing Home as well.

Selleck has a pretty good swing in MB and Mark Harmon was a QB at UCLA I believe.

I wonder if President Palmer played serious baseball in his youth. He had a powerful swing MB and the Major League movies.

He sure did. It's so funny and cool he's in both baseball movies. I'll watch MB anytime it's on

Friday night lights isn’t underrated. I don’t know anybody that doesn’t have it in their top 5

Me.

It’s not even a top five football movie.

A league of their own is underrated, right? Not exactly sure the consensus

PLACE AT THE TABLE BABY

Also, I feel like this movie is a very accurate representation of college football...you got steroids, girls, domestic assault, false grades, cheating. just the whole package. One of my favorite movies

I love The Rookie (2002) too. I will watch it anytime it's on TV. It's a great story, and I think it's one of Dennis Quaid's better performances.

They shot those game scenes at real Ranger games. I know some of the writers who got shown in the press box close-ups. Gave them a hard time about being "Stars", but I was really jealous.

It isn't a movie, but there was a documentary on the Tarkanian Fresno State team "Between the Madness" that was incredible. I can't find it anywhere and would pay good money for it.

It had Chris Herren struggling with drugs, Kenny Brunner and Avondre Jones robbing someone at a convenience store while armed with a samurai sword, rampant academic fraud and a full window into the issues rampant in college basketball.
