Exactly, in LA no less? Beyond San Fran its probably about as gay friendly city as there is in the US.
Would just be weak writing IMO.
It's like if he is.. so what? Some kind of PTSD issue is way more interesting IMO.

That is why I thought he was gay. Could he wrong, but they definitely made it seem that he was, IMO.

I don't know if the CHP officer is gay or if he has erectile dysfunction but I do know he wouldn't have pulled out of that skid at 100+ mph as easily as he did.

Like someone else said, it's just the possibility. My GF gets the impression they're telling us he's gay or "in the closet". My first impression of that scene was that he is distracted, not disinterested. The Viagra thing could be a condition...but a young man with that kind of condition?
And then him leaving in the middle of the night to speed on his motorcycle...could that be PTSD type stuff (they mentioned the Army and he eluded to stuff even before then that we don't know about yet) or it could be that he is conflicted about something...perhaps being gay...or perhaps about something stemming from those burns.
I guess that's why we watch the show.

I tend to lean towards PTSD (sexual issues can go along with anxiety/stress) but I don't necessarily know that it all stems from things that happened in the Army. He talks about his scars being from pre-Army. Could be an abuse issue or something along those lines.

For sure. That was horse shite.
Also no way he goes that long with his lights off when the PCH is 2 lane. shite is curvy as frick once you're out of Malibu and he'd be flying off a cliff within 2-3 seconds. That whole scene pissed me off with him magically stumbling on the body the second he turned his lights on. Whatever.
