Regardless of who the killer is, everyone is going to be disappointed because of threads like this & the ones on redit.
Does anyone agree?
It's like every scenario has been thrown out and rehashed over and over, to a point where no one is going to be surprised. And a lot of people will be let down.
It's not held up to the same standard as a movie. It's not 2 hours of film where it can just sneak up on you. It's broken up week to week & dissected to the core. To a point where I can see people being unhappy no matter what happens

it wouldn't shock me if he reads this board though.
Ryno, you obviously follow him. Get on that and get him out into the open.
Unless he's Decatur trying to throw off the scent.

not necessarily
people over analyzed the shite out of Breaking Bad and most were satisfied with the ending

Ha I've only periodically peered into this thread and the others for this very reason. I try to avoid the many theories because I don't want to read one that ends up being right...would ruin the show's ending for me. But I love the show so much I can't resist peeking in here periodically.

unless this was one big plot to execute ledoux, which doesn't make sense on its own and was quite elaborate to do that (especially with all the lying they have to do in order to push the narrative), he does a good job of allowing rust into his cult's existence by pushing the investigation along
Until this past episode, I wasn't quite as sold on the cult angle. I was thinking more along the lines that crime scene was staged to look like a big cult show. Marty would be a person that has the know-how to do that. I bet he knew he and Rust would catch the case, and that Rust would get crazy into it (remember that Marty took a look at all of Rust's books at his apartment the second week they were partners). It now looks like the cult angle will be emphasized. It's possible that Marty is/was a part of it. Still gathering evidence on this.
We do know that Marty likely does not have an alibi for the night that Dora Lange was killed. He wasn't at home that night based on Maggie's comments to him on the morning of the debriefing/press conference. He had plenty of opportunity to plant the devil trap behind Danny Fontenot's house after learning about Marie Fontenot. He had plenty of opportunity to paint the crime scene mural at burnt down church in Eunice over that weekend. Remember how he wanted to leave the inlaw's house by himself early that weekend?
None of this may actually be the case but it think it's possible within this theory.

it's got to be the biggest message board in LA...as a person from LA who doesn't live here anymore, i'd imagine it's likely he does lurk

I actually totally agree with you.
It's like after watching The Dark Knight in the theaters 5 times and being soooo OMG over it. Then you watch The Dark Knight Rises and it's like, meh.
All this build up can only lead to a let down. But the ride is fun!

i agree to an extent, and i have stayed out of it for this reason, but this thread doesn't have shite on Reddit
