when I was watching that scene, I was about to get mildly pissed if Rust had dropped him with a pistol at like 80 yards
Whats awesome is the holes in the car behind rust caused by the grenade fragments. barely missed him

Are you so sure of your deductive prowess that if a film or show "fools" you then it was a cheap trick and lazy writing. this has nothing to do with that the sixth sense = great ending, that i didn't see coming usual suspects = terrible ending the prestige = great ending, that i didn't see coming
I loved usual suspects but it was the first movie I ever saw with a false narrative so it blew me away. TD has been so good this far I have faith it will end well.

So you saw the ending of Usual Suspects coming?
sorry...that was somewhat misleading. i was just trying to point out i did enjoy twist endings that i didn't see coming
i didn't see usual suspects coming, but by that point i knew there was a twist (saw it on video)
the ending of the usual suspects, literally, destroys the entire narrative up to that point. nothing we saw occurred in that reality. it was all a lie by a really bad guy.

lets stay on topic people

I've been looking at Marty since E4. I was waiting for the writers to throw out something solid, like a bottle of acrylic basic blue paint in the kid's bedroom.
Then last night they told us that Marty killed a 10 pointer, the same amount of points as the one on Dora Lange's head, so that shows he'd have the means/availability to make that crown.
It fits the theory so far.

the fact that you didnt like usual suspects is completely predictable.

And Marty Hart is an anagram for "hat martyr"
Hat/antlers/crown symbolism....boom

appropriate that Ledoux and Dewall lived just outside of Sulphur. I can say with 100% certainty I went to school with people who look, act and dress just like them.

yeah but basically everything he did in the "past" makes no sense if he's the killer
unless this was one big plot to execute ledoux, which doesn't make sense on its own and was quite elaborate to do that (especially with all the lying they have to do in order to push the narrative), he does a good job of allowing rust into his cult's existence by pushing the investigation along

no way. he clearly tripped over the tip wire. maybe he had weapon planted somewhere in the woods or something. he had no options at that point. I wanted Rust to shoot the meth lab behind him and blow it up to kingdom come Michael Bay style

Ha! Prom said the same thing this morning because I said its so big now if it's not some M. Knight Shyamalan I see dead people kind of mindfrick, I'm going to be disappoint.
Then he said if it was some Scooby Doo bullshite (referencing The Village, he hates that movie), he'd be disappointed.

That is completely and utterly ridiculous.

I agree with you, the usual suspects is ruined on the rewatch because awhile movie is just clever lie.

I'm convinced that writers throw shite out there like this just to frick with Reddit and everyone else
It's fun, but most of the time all of it is meaningless

A lot of 10-pointers running around SLA. I think they may be in on it.
