I was thinking that the lady who took Tara was operating a brothel.

Ditto. Would be pretty shitty if it wasn't him in the car given how they REALLY implied it was, so the only reasonable way to keep him on the show would be if he was made a vampire.

I did not even think of that. That is a good point. Also, more or less to really keep Tara from having anywhere to go.

It has already been said that the vibrating lady is a Maenad which is a wild drunken violent being that revels in debauchery and violence.
She is not a werewolf. Werewolves make only a tiny brief appearance in book two. But the maenad actually didn't show up until book 2 so they have not been sticking to just one book per season.
And it is most definitely Lafayette in the car if they are going to keep using at least a basic outline from the books.

Dick. I did read the whole post. And I'm pretty sure it has been mentioned numerous times that the show isn't following the book that closely.
I realize that the vibrating lady is a Maenad. But why would it be so ridiculous to think that werewolves might be more involved with show. When Sookie asked Sam if he was a werewolf he sure did seem to have some knowledge of them.

They have already shown her to be a Maenad and not a werewolf in the episode she was naked walking along the street with a pig.
And for the main story they have followed it fairly closely. It is the characters other than sookie that have changed greatly from the book.
The foot is clearly large male black foot, but it doesn't mean that if the producers decide Lafayette helps ratings, they won't change the foot, but that would really change a major plot in book 2.
