Groundhog day, FE, got a lot of shite from critics. 20 years later, they openly retract the negative reviews they gave it.

If you're 12. And it has major major problems that cannot be overlooked.

Casino royale is a fun popcorn flick. TDKR too.

Vindicated by who? It is going to make a lot of money and I love the hell of this movie. Only vindication that matters, imo.

only opinion that matters is your own

Duh. It's a completely different style. An intentional move. There isn't as much at stake in the hobbit as LOTR

Good movie. I enjoyed it. Not as good as LoTR for me, but only because the source material (book/story) was not as epic or compelling.

Zero complaints about the movie itself though. Thought it was entertaining, well done, and looking forward to the next two. Not near as much as with the LoTR, but I enjoyed the LoTR books a LOT more than the Hobbit. And this is now the 4th Jackson installment overall, so I'm not so excited anymore, but have zero complaints.

You came in this complaining about that just like in EVERY hobbit thread that appears. No one was attacking anyone when you mentioned this in this thread.

Mother of god. You should seen the last one. It was monumental. Words cannot describe what was happening in those threads

It's almost at 1 billion dollars worldwide. The trailer to the next one will be fantastic.

putting it on BluRay isn't going to help crappy lighting. If anything it will make it look even worse. It is what it is and it wasn't very good.

I assure you that you are wrong. 3D is notorious for dimming the color. There isn't a single film released in 3D that didn't look lighter on DVD.

You always seem to be in the hobbit threads for some strange reason.

I didn't realize your goal was to take up for people in hobbit threads.

The blu ray version will look amazing.

that isn't what I mean when I'm talking about the lighting.

I'm talking about how the sets and actors were lit for the camera.

Definitely. A ton of the posters acted as if the film raped their girlfriend. Its a pretty large consensus here that the film was at least pretty good.

Oh come on. Yes it was a very fun action flick. Yeah it wasn't high brow material to be sure, but it was one of my most fun experiences I've had in a while at the theaters.

It looks fine for me. I don't see any problem. Thought the lighting with the Gollum sequence was pretty great.

This. No doubt one of the most fun I've had in theatre in years.

Look, I love LOTR. I love the extended editions and watch them all the time. I saw the extended editions in the theater when they released Return of the King. So I am a huge fan.

I was entertained by The Hobbit, but I have almost zero interest in watching it again. Nil.

I may like the second and third more, but that won't change my opinion of the first one.

It was laughable the things the batman fan boys were saying. Raped their girlfriend is a perfect example.

No doubt that everyone thought the critics were way out of line.
