I remember them talking about watching the premiere in Greenwich Village and seeing the left wing audience turn when they realized they were the joke. They went from cheering the perceived anti-American slant to literally walking out.

Also the studio execs watching the intro for the first time. The puppets playing with crappy puppets was perfect. “They fricked us!” was the reported response until the camera zoomed out lol

I still laugh just thinking about it.

The throw up scene and the "grex" scene are some of the greatest of all time.
