I read similar they all parrot each other.

Also who’s voice is on the actual buzz lightyear toys from toy story? That’s right Tim Allen. It’s as if they pretend that Disney can’t walk around their own store and hit any toys voice box and realize “hey that’s the Actors voice from the movie”

The problem is they expect us all to join in on playing dumb with them

I read one review where they said they had to recast Tim Allen as Buzz because kids wouldn’t understand the difference between the real Buzz and Toy Buzz if they were voiced by the same actor. How delusional and out of touch do you have to be to think that’s a good reason?

Man that reviewer has, without a doubt, never met a child and has apparently forgotten what it's like to be one.

This may not even get to $300 million worldwide.

I saw somewhere that the break-even point for this film is $500M.

I knew one of you little buttholes would pucker over that.

Did you see the part where you were punked out in the popularity debate? Wow, all those toys! Miles Morales? Jesus, how much of a fricking cuck are you?

This is a bomb, and the woke factor definitely played a part, but not nearly as much as you're trying to make it seem. In a different thread (I think), you said it should have been the highest grossing animated movie ever and gross 1.3 billion. That was just a completely unrealistic expectation that was never, even if there was no woke factors, was never going to happen.

There was bad marketing, no Woody, it's a spin-off, and the trailers just looked like it was a bad movie. That's not a good combo, even with a great character.

And people just aren’t going to theaters to see these movies.

I dont Know if anything but big budget action films will ever really recover. Or if the future of movies is small theatre releases and streaming

Took my 6 year old son this afternoon. It was incredibly mediocre at best. He even shrugged when I asked how he liked it. He said it was ok and was upset that Buzz didn’t use his wings or laser pointer lol

Did you miss where Sonic 2 made 40% more when it opened on Masters weekend in April? It, too, has a target audience of families with young boys yet opened with $72 million. This IP was much bigger and should have blown it out the water.

Just wait till Minions is released next week.

Maybe this will get people to stop gaslighting for Disney. A Gru prequel is going to destroy one of the most iconic animated characters of all time.

But it’s not the woke stuff. We promise.

Dude, it’s looking like this isn’t going to even make $300 million at this point.

I just said it was a bomb. I'm saying the woke stuff wasn't the reason it bombed that bad. There were a ton of factors, a lot that you're not acknowledging and some that had more of an impact than the woke stuff. Which i already mentioned.

It should have at least grossed the same amount as Toy Story 4.

You keep saying this with no basis. It was expected to do around Sonic 2 or a little above. There's no debating that. 70-90 million. Toy Story 4 was projected to do about twice that, 140+ million. Your numbers are just made up B.S. to match your argument.

If you had Tim Allen in the room with the marketing boys like Ryan Reynolds was in Deadpool, it would have just rained dollars.

Let me get this straight, because you are unclear: You think Tim Allen should be marketed like Deadpool?
Just curious- since you haven't mentioned that in this thread more than maybe 7-8 times.

Get this.

69 year old Tim Allen, dressed as Buzz Lightyear, looks into the camera and tells kids to get their parents' credit cards out of their wallets so they can get online and surprise the folks with tickets to see the new Buzz Lightyear movie! "And while you're at it, treat yourself to a couple of those R13 and R15 games your mom won't let you play!" Then you hear a fart, and Allen blames it on the cameraman as he walks out of the frame. After the announcer gives the movie info, you hear Allen (off screen), "Uh oh guys, I don't think that was a fart."

It's pretty clear they knew they had a crap product so they threw in a lesbian kiss to get the critics who are all woke to rate it highly. Probably the first movie with groundbreaking wokeness that some critics rated poorly. You know the writers are shocked.

Wasn't there an article about some higher up at Disney, with a gay kid and a trans kid, gloating how Disney is allowing her to put whatever gay propaganda she wanted to put in their movies. And that she was trying to put one in every scene?
