Now Saul/Jimmy is just a real bad guy and not a fun trickster/lawyer type.
DiamondDog,
What did you think he was while he helped Walt become the biggest meth dealer in America?

Dan Dan,
You & I must have very different definitions of “anti-hero”.

A shady attorney but compared to the characters in this entire series, not so bad.
He ran some cons, moved some money, but he wasn't out there ordering hits on people.
There are a jillion attorneys out there everyday helping shady characters protect their assets and hide their money.
Now, yeah, I believe he was a con man and a money launderer. Situational cons. Not really steal money cons. At least shown in the series.
Ripping off the IRS legally makes you a Saint in my book.

Diamond Dog,
His first advice to Walt & Jesse is to kill Badger
“Why don’t you just kill badger? I mean follow me guys a mosquito is bothering you, you don’t go kill the mosquito’s attorney”
How much farther you want to defend this dude as a good person?

I’m surprised they never had a skyler cameo

It's been noted in other places online that the cancer guy's bank statement showing $767k and change was the same amount Walt claimed he needed to make sure his family was taken care of.
What that could mean? Guys that try to get that amount by nefarious means die? Who knows.
So, Walt says in BB that amount would be enough, then his hubris doesn’t allow him to stop at enough. He keeps going and ultimately ruins lives all around him. Similarly, his hubris has him keeping the Whitman book Gale gave him around the house. Hank finds it, it leads to his downfall.
To me, that amount in the cancer guy’s account in that particular scene is used to draw a parallel between Jimmy/Saul/Gene and Walt. Not only throughout the series, but specifically in this past episode, Saul can’t stop at enough. He could have stopped after getting the account info with a balance of “exactly enough”, but he goes back for more. He just can’t help himself. He keeps pushing and it leads to the chain of events which will undoubtedly end in his downfall.

I'll be disappointed if we don't see Mike and Gus in the final episode. Neither got a proper sendoff last we saw them. You could argue Mike did but I want more.

We all love their characters so I'll never dislike getting more but it feels like that part of the show has concluded and doesn't really need any more elaboration. I'm guessing the rest of the show is going to be gene timeline which wouldn't invovle mike or gus

Got no idea where it’s ending….but expect a big surprise or change.
I'm not so sure about that. It seems like the writers are really going heavy on the fallout. I think this will be an extremely polarizing finale

I don't want to spoil anything, but they both got pretty memorable send offs in another series.

quote:fair enough. Maybe a short scene the last time Mike and Saul talked. I know it doesn't make sense for where the last 3 episodes are going aka no feel good endings. But I still haven't gotten over Mike's ending in BB.

I think Mike and Gus send offs for BCS are perfectly acceptable. Gus blowing off some steam at the wine bar, then the change of face realizing there was still a job to be done. Mike getting his marching orders to get a new crew together to finish the lab.
We know where both of those lead at the start of BB timeline and where both of those characters ultimately end up.

Official prediction: Saul gets sent to Belize.

I kept trying to think if there are any dangerous bad guys from BB who may be out there, but the freaking body count on that show doesn't leave much. For Saul to get kilt now, it would pretty much have to be some random thug looking for his money, like the guys Jesse ran into in El Camino. Or maybe one of his clients who just got out after a lengthy sentence for public masturbation.

I know you are just kidding with that but I just happened to see an article where Vince Gilligan says that BCS will be the final show in the BB universe. Basically he was saying he doesn't want to be the guy that went to the well too often.

He could kill himself. Either before getting captured or while in custody??

Or the guy who owns the car with the sun roof that Jimmy shat in

Shhhh, don’t jinx it.
That would suck the joy out of the series.
