It's interesting how most people now seem to agree that he's going down and can't have a happy ending w/ Kim.
I’ve thought this since day of BCS. And the way this season has played out has made it much, much less likely that there is a happy ending for Saul, particularly with Kim. At least in my mind.

I agree.
One of the indicators for me was the heist on the cancer guy. They went out of their way to make the guy more likeable than the previous marks. He was shown to be a good guy, not an arrogant arse like the previous ones. And then they laid on an extra layer by having the pick pocket guy with the dog show mercy and have a bit of a moral code.
But Saul was relentless, heartless, and even a bit cruel. Insisting on taking this guy out just like the rest.
They are making him less likeable, less of a "good guy" than he's been portrayed for most of the series. Jimmy was always shown as a guy who has been mistreated, misjudged, and told he would never amount to everything. Sure, he did some bad things, but hey, you can see how he got there.
But now, they are showing his dark side. I bet that's to soften the blow of the bad shite that's about to happen to him.

I mean I'm not going to attempt to guess what happens, this writing teams keeps the viewer on their toes, but there were distinct parallels between the BB scenes and Gene scenes about going down the wrong path. I would imagine he meets his demise one way or the other, doesn't appear he's going to get a happy ending.

The parallels between BB and BCS are laid out great in this episode. Even Gene turning back into Saul because of Kim is similar to when Walt basically gave up cooking meth then skylar set him off again with her divorce demands and the Ted situation. These damn women lol

Watched it at lunch. Put me in the "meh" camp for this episode. Another one of those "good episode, but just not at this point in the series" ones for me.
It's hilarious (and sad) to me that anybody critical of the show gets labeled as spoiled or someone who doesn't "deserve" it. That's fricking stupid. This show isn't above criticism...those posts came off as very Ham-like to me.
I think it boils down to Gene just being boring to me. I don't hate it at all, it's still solid TV. But with so few episodes left in the entire series, back to back episodes of Gene pulling Slippin Jimmy scams is just plain subpar. If anything, they could've gotten the point from the last two episodes across in a single episode. While watching Gene scramble and shift in his seat as his accomplice lies unconscious on the mall floor was good television, it just felt like completely wasted time. While there were some differences (obviously), this episode felt a lot like a rehash of the previous one with the mall scam.
And I know that most loose ends are tied up nicely...that's not a bad thing. But it just feels like they could be getting more out of the Gene timeline than what we are seeing.
However, I still have the utmost faith in VG/PG to pull off a great ending to what has been one of the best rides on TV. It would be nice if they tried to utilize their time wisely instead of trying SO HARD to pull off cool cinematographic shots and mundane montage scenes (seriously, montage scenes are cool and all, but they go to that well FAR too often).
The good news though, is I don't really know what I expect over the last 2/3 episodes. And I feel like that is a good thing.
I'm sure I'll get downvoted to hell, but it's okay to love the show and also wish it was ending a little better than it has been so far (and also expecting it to stick the landing once all is said and done).
It was weird seeing Jesse and Walt back onscreen. And I agree with most that Walt was great and Jesse sucked. It's like Aaron Paul was reading his lines off a cue card just off camera.

It sounded like he didn’t even want to be there

I’ll wager Saul lives, but Kim will pay him a visit in prison. We’ll see them both on opposite sides of the glass/bars.

Episode Title checks out.

I was gonna post this. Jeff can’t be that stupid. There’s gotta be a sizeable reward for bringing in Saul. Probably #2 most wanted man in America. Did Jeff really not think to turn him in for money?
Reward for Jimmy McGill is 5 million.

That reward poster is confirmed to be promo material. The reward is not a part of the show

The parting shot from the episode is two cops walking up and looks like they're staring at someone on the curb.
I think Jeffey could of pulled a fast one on Saul.
I dont think they pulled a fast one. I think the drugs might have worn off like jeff was worried about. saul just DGAF

I bet he gets away with the theft at cancer guys house. I would say the clip of the cops is at his doorstep and he may or may not be there. He has that stack of cash to get away. No way he just ends up in cuffs. Would be very anti climatic. But I’m probably wrong

Saul beating the phone booth up = Walt punching the hand dryer in the bathroom at the docs office.
They both get back into their respective games after that and both start piling away money and hiding it in similar fashion.
My guess is that, like Walt, Saul also has a grand scheme that requires lots of cash, which is why he was so insistent on continuing the heist of the cancer patient.

Who was the cancer actor at the bar? He looks so damn familar
*not going through 15 pages, just a simple answer would make me happy*

Well, he didn't even have a seat.

I know why Kim left! She is knocked up and didn't want to raise her kid in that type of environment.

Oh shite. This would be a lot to try to explore in just two episodes left but my goodness that would be nuts

I may have missed it in someone’s post but I assume Carol’s character will find a old commercial of Saul’s on YouTube and see who he really is and call the cops.
Thinking now he gets caught in Florida just as he sees Kim from a distance just sitting outside the sprinkler shop smoking a cigarette on break and that’s that.
Kim spin-off announced 3 months from now with her life in Florida.
Read this is Troy McClure’s voice:
Get ready for Kim Wexler, PI! But keep at least one eye open. 'Cause her old friend from Albuquerque, Francesca just might pop in to wish her luck.”
