I liked the trailer but I wish they would quit giving the same theme for all the superhero movie trailers.

I loved the first one. Thought it was the best out of the pre-Avengers movies, except for IM 1.
Guess I'm in the minority

I liked the first Thor movie. Looking forward to #2.
Admittedly, I'm a Thor fan. He's one of my favorite Avengers.
I thought the trailer for the new movie was a little dull, honestly. It doesn't do a good job of setting up the villain or gaining your interest in the characters. It kind of has a "why should I care about this shite?" quality to it.
It only gets interesting at the end when Loki shows up. That's a relationship we care about.
Honestly, the Natalie Portman/Kat Dennings characters... no one really cares about. So when Portman's character is threatened, it's kind of a yawner.
Audiences pay to see Thor, not Natalie Portman's reaction to Thor, which is too much of the movie.
Let's have heroic action taken by heroic figures against threats that are legit.
If you want a love interest for Thor... develop Sif. She's known him his whole life, and can fight right alongside him. She can be more involved in the story.
And yes, I actually do expect a Sif/Natalie Portman/Thor love triangle to develop, with something really, really bad happening with Sif. My point is Sif has better long-term potential in the movies than Natalie Portman's Jane character.

Let's get a grip. The movie comes out in November, so I suspect there will be better trailers between now and then.

This.
I find it interesting that Thor is taking Jane to Asgard.
Trailer was just OK but leaves a lot out. But I'm not worried about it since this is only the first one.

This trailer confused me a little, was he fighting back in time or something?

The first Thor was mostly a guy with no powers hanging out in Arizona or wherever. Not what I want to see from a movie about a Viking god of thunder. Thor could be such an epic movie if the movie is violent, gritty, and has a good villain. Make Thor a frickin Norseman, not a Victorian gentleman dressed in costume. I think most of us are tired of Loki.

Everyone on this board was talking about how trailers have been giving away too much and this gives nothing away. It's a first trailer just to get the word out. I loved the first one. I thought Branagh did a great job with it and the cast was spot on as well. There will be much more action in this one.

I liked the first one until he was stripped of his powers and banished to earth.

Well...I'm in the minority I guess. I really liked the first movie, and this one looks better as it appears that more of it will take place on Asgard or elsewhere.
This is partly, I guess, because I loved the character as a kids, and partly because I think they cast Thor as well as they could have possibly done so.

Yep...the guy has become Thor. And that was a great scene.
I was watching Snow white and the Huntsman with my two young sons on Sunday and at one time or another each asked, "Why doesn't Thor just smack that guy?!?"

I wonder who the major cameo/reveal will be:
Strange?
Panther?
One of the other Avengers?
I would guess Strange of those 3. Thor would seem the most reasonable for Guardians of the Galaxy also. I think a cameo from them would fit better in Thor than IM3 or CA2. I also really liked the fist one and am looking forward to #2.

+ 1
Thor was very well cast with Hemsworth.
Oh and I agree with a potential love triange between Sif, Jane and Thor. Throw in a badass warrior woman to combat the idea of Thor being with a damsel in distress.

Well, I guess I am the only one that liked the trailer. Looks better than the first to me.

Thor was easily the worst of the Avengers movies IMHO.
Lot of people disagree but I don't think I'll ever watch it again.
